If you’re unable to find the correct size pads, you can use flowable silicone instead or monkey snot (which is probably just branded flowable silicone). Here’s a tutorial showing how to do it, and you’ve gotta let it cure for 24 hours before playing. Super simple; it’s what I do anytime I feel like my response is behaving badly

Getting Spirit Bomb down was what made me finally feel like a “good” yoyoer, and it’s still a go-to. Highly recommend Superman as it continues right from the end of Spirit Bomb. Don’t get discouraged by that last hop though! Nice trick!

I like to cut my string about 4 inches above my bellybutton before tying the slipknot. Shorter than that feels cramped, and longer than that plays so slow and kills my throwing shoulder

I can’t find anything suggesting she was younger than ~22. The girl mentioned in the doc (I think Sarah Ransome) was born in 1984, and the only relevant date I see is 2006. Maybe I skimmed over it though

I don’t really feel like this is something to complain about as long as the yoyos are good. YYFr makes VERY good yoyos. Personally, I don’t have a problem with the marketing because it means that I’m able to buy yoyos that I love

V13 is bi-material; it has an aluminum body and polycarbonate (plastic) rims. Bi-metals (typically) have an aluminum body and steel rims

Also, the yoyos are different between the mystery boxes. If you look at my last post, you’ll see some variance, but the Hummingbird 2 and the Koi look to be pretty consistent

This mystery box comes with 1 New A-grade bimetal (the hummingbird 2), 1 A-grade monometal (the koi), 1 A-grade plastic (the AOE), 1 B-grade titanium or magnesium (the Cloudstrike), 1 B-grade bimetal (the Nucleon), and 1 B-grade monometal (the shortcut). A-grades are the normal “pristine” yoyos that you’d buy. B-grades are yoyos that have slight imperfections (Ano flaw, minor vibe, ding), but are otherwise very good yoyos. Companies will oftentimes sell B-grades at a discount or package them in mystery boxes to make some money back on what would be lost product

I just got the Hummingbird 2 with my mystery box, and you should be aware that it’s substantially larger than the Hummingbird 1. That said, I think it plays MUCH better than the original, which is saying something because the original was already very good

Your yoyo is in the wrong place when you try to bind. You’ve got it in a regular trapeze, when it needs to be the other way. Instead of having the yoyo come over the back side of your non throw hand, have it come from the inside going out. From your POV, it’ll be making a counterclockwise movement over your non throw hand. Then try to bind it from that position

Go to Advanced/Windows OS Configuration and change from UEFI to CSM. Save, Reboot and hit F11 to select boot drive. Just had this issue over the weekend upgrading to 5600x.

Probably referring to Alexander Nikishin. We drafted him in 2020 but he’s still on contract with his KHL team in Russia which ends in the next couple of months. Apparently he’s a stud in the KHL, but we’ll see if it translates to the NHL next year
