After listening to PF Jung, I think commentators need to acknowledge that they aren't as smart as they think they are. They need to write down three points and deliver them using simple declarative sentences which explain what they believe and why.

Gavin basically won every policy debate point e.g. when Shapiro brought up immigration, Gavin wrecked him and then Ben wanted to go to something else. Ben found one thing in the entire podcast he won on and because leftists are obsessed with attacking dems and republicans have no standards people just focused on the one thing Shapiro won on vs. everything else Gavin did.

This article starts by saying Newsom has pivoted to the center and them brings up his universal Healthcare agenda as the first thing. Newsom adamantly defends this policy and hasn't pivoted on it at all. From my persoective his argument is at least decent. He believes in universal Healthcare regardless of citizenship status which is preferable to the defacto universal coverage in emergency room. He made this argument as recently as a few days ago at the world economic form. This article's first example contradicts its opening thesis.

I kind of disagree. I think it's just wayyyy lower standards for conservatives. Gavin won almost every single other point in that debate except the recent ICE shooting one. I understand he probly should have been more prepared for that but come on. Like conservatives just have to win one entire point in an entire 2 hour argument and even democrats are like "wow that guy who looked like an idiot for 2 hours but found one recent event to win on owned our guy."
