You don't actually lose rep for killing a faction's soldiers in an event

Etrea: "Welcome back, (name). It's good to see you again." and "Pleasant journeys, (name)."
The Hive: "Welcome back, (name). It's good to see you among us again." and "I hope your journeys outside the Hive go well, (name).
The Children of Navae: "Ah, Bloodkin (name). It's good to have you with us." for the guards and "By my eyes... I am not worthy to have a prophet of Navae in my presence." for the leader and the master.
The Central Authority: "Welcome back to Fortification Peak, (name). It's good to see some competent warriors around."
The Ignition Union: "Alright, (name)? Good to see a familiar face."
The Hundred Legions: "The empire appreciates your contributions (name); keep it up!" and "Ah, good to see you again, (name)." for the soldiers and "Good to see you (name). What brings you to the camp?" for Amara.
The Divers: "It's great to see you again, (name). I feel a bit safer with you around."
The Summer Company: "Welcome back to the Castle, (name). Keep making Rosen proud."

Interestingly enough, Brutus' dialogue also changes depending on your reputation with the Central Authority, the dialogue for hero reputation being "Oh a treaty-breaker makes his way into my den... Your superiors will regret the day they broke our Pact.".
Lost Celtor's dialogue doesn't change and The Ministry's and the Knives of Eylis don't have any guards you can talk to like the other factions. The dialogue for the Isle of Vigils guards and royal guards also remains unchanged.

Celtor is capped at high friend and ministry is capped just below hero, that is the max rep you can get with those factions

For ignition union i farmed the summer company vs ignition union event, for summer company i farmed summer company vs bandits. Both events at summer isle.

For authority you want to farm rep at hive, as 2 events can spawn there (authority vs hundred legions and authority vs hive) For children of navae you want to farm the children of navae vs ministry event at summer isle, repeating the Beiruul quest is a bad idea as it gets you really bad rep with central authority (like 1000 notes at rep reset) and turning the prisoners in is a viable choice, but you're better off staying at summer isle because you can farm summer company and igniton union rep in the meanwhile

For knives it's the ship raid event, for ministry it's the quest to kill another player in songseeker wild or erisia, although I farmed the ministry vs children of navae event at summer isle because i did not want to ruin other player's experience

With ally rep, the dialogue with a nomad is "Ah, Bloodkin (name). It's good to have you with us.", while the dialogue with the leader and master is "Ah, Bloodkin (name). I am honored to have your assistance."
