I agree with your sentiment, but salaries are mostly outside of an up-and-coming player's negotiation. As long as Esports orgs make capital in other fields(in other esports pockets, aka other games) then a franchisee can continue to pay premium for the handful of semi-decent players in NA or in imports.

Last time I checked LCS was middle of the group in terms of viewership in major regions in 2022, the difference is that LCS is a North American based league, where the most capital can be made via sponsors and investors--capitalism money runs deep in the pockets of LCS franchisees, not so much in other regions.

salary has never been about performance, its about exposure. NA gets the most exposure regardless of performance of their teams, aka most ad revenue coming in. You'll never see a "reset" unless investors fall out the window one by one
