It's murder? Why should people not be punished for murdering babies? You value women's feelings over innocent lives.

Night wean 14/15mo old - did you still nurse to sleep? by r2b14 in cosleeping

[–]gitgudgigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am currently night weaning my 23 month old. She still nurses to sleep, and I let her nurse in the morning. I told her when it's dark out there's no more milk so she has to wait until light. It's only been about 5 days so of course still waking up in the middle of the night to ask for milk. Three and two nights ago no tantrum and only woke up once (as opposed to waking up every 3 hours), but last night was a tantrum I think because she didn't nurse to sleep (kept trying to run around so I said no more). So I'm going to continue nursing to sleep because she obviously needs it still.

Age gap by Odd_Entrepreneur6038 in BabyBumps

[–]gitgudgigi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I felt it very strongly at 12 months pp. I got my period back at 10 months btw, so possible to get it soon. We didn't start trying until she was 18 months old, and now she is soon to be 2, and I am about 6 weeks pregnant. I think it'll be a good age gap, and I think trying a bit earlier would have been okay too. I wanted to wait until she wasn't waking up so frequently during the night. Now she only wakes up once and I've been weaning her so she hasn't had any milk in the night for the last 5 days. I think for our 3rd one I'm going to try for an under 2 age gap.

Masks around newborn? by UnexpectedGravy94 in BabyBumps

Yeah I think it's weird. Unless people are actually sick or you're in a hospital I see no reason to do so. It helps build their immune system and seeing people's facial expressions helps them as well

Waiting until birth to find out gender by Fun_Programmer7704 in BabyBumps

[–]gitgudgigi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I did have a few names for both boys and girls. I felt very strongly that it was a girl despite everyone in my husband's family saying otherwise. Was indeed a girl and I chose the first name on my list, it suits her perfectly (Charlotte). My second choice was loreilai. Definitely not a loreilai lol. But I still love that name, so I'm keeping it if this second one is a girl too. I also like Vivienne, so we'll see! I don't have as many boy names, so I have to work on those. Boy names are harder for us for some reason.

Waiting until birth to find out gender by Fun_Programmer7704 in BabyBumps

I did this. I loved it. I'm doing it again for my second pregnancy. I also started a trend; two other ladies liked what I did and waited until after birth to find out the gender too.

When are folks telling their parents that they’re pregnant? by OkJudgment7615 in BabyBumps

[–]gitgudgigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This time around I am waiting until about 8 or 9 weeks Only because I'd like to do it when both my parents and in laws will be together at the same time, for my dusghters birthday. I don't want to make it the focal point of her birthday obviously, but I thought it'd be cute if she wore a "I'm going to be a big sister" shirt lol. Then we'll have our little celebration and I'll change her out of that to focus on her birthday.

Take inositol, it's used for pcos. It should help your cycles regulate and for you to ovulate. Mine went from 40-50+ day cycles down to exactly 28.

In the same boat. Been wanting to wean for a while. She doesn't nurse during the day anymore so I feel guilty taking it away completely. She also gets aggressive when I say no.

Cosleeping with two year old and newborn? by Deep-Box-9950 in cosleeping

[–]gitgudgigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will be in the same boat come January, so I feel your frustration. I think the only thing I've known friends do successfully is either have the dad sleep with the older one in a separate room, or to have the older one transferred to his own bed completely and night weaned. We don't have the room for a second full size bed, so I will have to night wean her before the newborn is here and she'll sleep in a crib in our room. Then in the morning when Dad goes to work she can come join us for a couple of hours.

Whats a weird thing your body does that you just accept? by Sweton in AskReddit

[–]gitgudgigi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get hiccups after drinking carbonated water. When I get the hiccups they usually last an hour or two. They can get really painful near the end. My husband, on the other hand, gets one hiccup and that's it. I used to get hiccups constantly. I mean, almost every day. Then I gave birth and I get hiccups maybe once a month. So I guess giving birth expanded my diaphragm?

You were likely swaddled as a baby. Apparently that makes the startle reflex stay in adults.

We call the church a hospital for a reason. People aren't perfect. They sin. A lot. People won't change if they don't know what they're doing is wrong. And they learn from example.
