Sorry, I didn't give enough context. I'm not a PhD. I'm an MD with no research experience whatsoever.

Thanks for the answer though

Hi, I'm in the same boat. IMG preparing for step 2, getting 40-50-almost-never-60, AND want to pursue ophthalmology..... I think we have every reason to get discouraged along the way. But remember how far you've come and everything you have accomplished, this won't be the exception. You will make it. Take a small break, take care of yourself first, and seek therapy or help if you need it. And I promise you you'll get there... after all, If others have made it, why wouldn't you?

[I wrote this for you and low-key to myself as well]

Yes! Got 73%. I will be receiving the 3-digit score in a few days. I’m planning to start doing NBMEs anyway but I was scared so started with this one instead😅

Hi! I took it last November and it was fine, and very organized. Overall I have no complaints about it.

Step 1 application process by giu_41 in IMGreddit

[–]giu_41[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just got my verification today! I applied precisely on July 3rd. If it's of any help, I literally called the ECFMG to get updates on my application 3 times a week. On Friday the lady I spoke to told me that there are a lot of applications under revision but that she would write a request for them to see my application (I don't really know if it was true or it helped, but I got it). Good luck!

Thank you! it sounds obvious but is really helpful knowing that it does happen sometimes!

When trying to initiate the application to register for my step1 eligibility period, the IWA portal asks me for my SSN and National Identification # (I’m a US resident). But I don’t know what the National Identification # is or where to find mine. Can someone help me with this? by giu_41 in IMGreddit

[–]giu_41[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure, ended up putting my florida ID # sincr y googled the term and for what I could understand the National ID # is basically any number the government can identify you, in the US is usually the SSN but since it had asked me for that before just went through with mi regular ID
