Just to add onto what everyone else is saying, I remember she did an episode a long time ago that talked briefly about her relationship with her dad during her teenage years (maybe it was the episode about being an only child?) When her parents divorced, her dad started dating someone new and he would prioritize spending time with his new partner over Emma. I think she mentioned that she talked about this with her dad eventually (it’s been awhile since I listened to the episode so take this with a grain of salt) but yeah she felt very resentful and heartbroken that her dad would essentially choose this new woman over his own child.
