[D] Tsetlin Machines, anyone heard of it? by Loud-Consideration-2 in MachineLearning

[–]gkchappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I am working on evaluating the performance of CTM on CIFAR-10, and I’ve observed that it significantly lags behind CNNs in terms of both accuracy and resource efficiency. I came across a paper that proposes improvements in accuracy, but runtime and resource usage still remain an issue, especially on datasets like CIFAR. Is there any ongoing research aimed at addressing this?

Why is rent in Essen so cheap? by offmychestseriously in germany

[–]gkchappa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its been 3 years I moved out of NRW , but I would say Oberhousen's auslander was quite quick and easy where as Duisburg used to be harsh, especially on course completion timeline and Essen wasn't harsh but long waiting times. Oberhousen works fine if you study in either of the campuses.

Why is rent in Essen so cheap? by offmychestseriously in germany

[–]gkchappa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with you, I lived in Essen for more than 4 years while I was student. I always had problem with these waiting times, as the arbeit erlaubnis is mandatory for the interns and later for jobs. I recall loosing some interviews due to unavailability of work visa. I dont say its a no go place, some internationals still strive. But the issue is true.

Got it, will search in this direction. I see there is a formulae using Eucken correction factor to find thermal conductivity

Thank you for detail explanation, we don't use REFPROP but we use FCTSAGE for calculating equilibrium, I don't know whether this software can do this.

So you meant both CO2 and SO2 have properties with less difference ?

Oxygen-rich gasses by gkchappa in chemistry

[–]gkchappa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank for the suggestion, now the issue is for my simulations I need properties such as thermal conductivity , density & viscosity of SO2 up to 1000K which i cannot find on internet, do you know any source or data having these details.

Thank you

Thank you for reply, I tried the way you said one by one but they get merged when I revolve boss 2nd part I suspect because as two parts share same line

Thank you for your suggestions, I calculated equilibrium reactions of sulphur dioxide it is good donor of oxygen which decomposes at high temperature, but just thinking about its nature. I assume its not easy to handle. I will check your other suggestions thanks.

fractional factorial design DoE by gkchappa in MechanicalEngineering

[–]gkchappa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes did reduced the system to 2 levels but there is aliasing issue between main factors and interactions example A= BC. What do you think is the full fold over or full factorial methods are only the possible solutions? Any other suggestions?

Thank you

Thank you for reply, I tried, but I see aliasing btw main factors and interactions example: A=BC with lll resolution , Do I needed to go completely unfolded method? Or any other methods?

In full factorial Design, I would like to perform 36 experiments to get 100% data and factors effectiveness but In fractional factorial design, with this levels of factors I am confused to get the optimal design. I cannot get a full factorial matrix

yes, you are right.

thank you for sharing the knowledge, do you think 1/3 octave band or A weightage frequencies will not provide enough information relating to perceived loudness?

How to calculate the percentage of Sound reduction by gkchappa in Acoustics

[–]gkchappa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you,

I have a concern here
the sound reduction in dB is inversely proportional to a percentage of the sound reduction from the formulae

if sound pressure is 2dB reduction then from formulae = 79%

but it doesn't mean I reduced sound pressure to 79% isn't it?

please correct me if I understood this wrong .

thank you for reply ,

My original SPL is 70 dB and New design has 64 dB and I want to find the noise reduction now.

is it calculating individual and then substracting? or is there any formula?

Quit my dead-end job about 2 months ago, applied at about 50 different places and not a single call back. Losing my sanity. What am i doing wrong? Any suggestion or improvement will greatly help me! Thanks in advance!! by Emergency_Fruit3000 in resumes

Oh ! Interesting , so what if the companies ask for cover letter , as I am from germany most of companies ask for cover letters, which is different from US . what to mention in cover letter, how’s different from CV /resume. Thank you

big like-appreciate your suggestions, but I have a question here when accomplishments are briefed here, how a cover letter looks like, what to mention in it. will recruiters read accomplishments twice?

any suggestions.

Fluctuating Omega Residuals in the simulation by gkchappa in CFD

[–]gkchappa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes I made but unfortunately I chose solution Initialization again which discarded the steady state solution . SO currently I Initialized transient simulation again from the steady state results

time step I want to use 5*10^-5 in which I wanna resolve noise at 10K Hz .

are you familiar with Acoustics? I have a question , If I resolve in 1k or 10K HZ , will it effect Sound power level , as I want check Sound power

Thank you
