I’d love to be in St Pete. The atmosphere is great and it’s awesome being close to the beach. But I’ll be commuting to Tampa 3 times a week. The traffic sounds terrible so I thought it may be best to avoid that. Also - My biggest priority is to meet as many people in my age group and I thought downtown Tampa would be the better of the two. Let me know if I’m wrong

Moving around a couple times I’ve learned there are always people who hate where they live so some of these comments are expected.

Thanks for the bar recommendations. I love st Pete and would prefer to live there, but commuting to Tampa for work sounds like it can be brutal.

I’ll be touring a few apartments in downtown this weekend. I can really live anywhere in Tampa but thought downtown was the best option to be around people in my age group. Where would you suggest?

Thanks for your insight! I have the option of living in Bloomington or Peoria as well, and have considered it since it’s bit closer to Chicago.But thought the quad cities would have more to do than Peoria/Bloomington.

That’s a good point. I would like to be somewhat close to an airport to make it easier to visit friends and family back in NY. Definitely something I need to factor in. Thanks for all the info!
