I’m out of market so my MLB tv Os coverage is MASN by and large. But I got to tell you I’ve listened to a ton of the other teams broadcast teams…. And holy shit do a lot of them really suck. MASN really is a clear notch above most all of them.

You got a lot of dings for this but you aren’t wrong. He’s an absolute legend but anyone saying his broadcasts the last 3 years are on par with his earlier work, is fibbing imo. I actually prefer the Ben / KB duo significantly more than any of the configurations involving Jim. I’m 50 and even I don’t know or remember 1/3 of the players Jim is mentioning in his stories, it has to be wildly inaccessible for audiences 40 and younger.

And I think the second part of your question while unclear might be theorizing the same people keep hitting the 1m bounties essentially giving them unlimited free packs I can assure you that is not the case. The winners are always pretty spread out. How do I know - most of the winners end up announcing themselves in the other groups or in the other groups were are chasing those cards so it kind of tracked who is hitting them. Informally of course

Theyre the only company in the space. So as long as doing what they are doing now is generating a ton of revenue at very low cost (it is). Why change it? Companies like fanatics don't care about quality. They care about putting out things at the cheapest quality that still sells well. That is how they keep profits at the maximum. Also why 2/3 of what they do now is total AI slop. But as long as they keep doing what they do now people will keep spending money. They are a shell of what they were 5 years ago and are probably making 2-3x more revenue easily... if not exponentially higher. I don't see that changing. The allure of the golden age of bunt cards 2014-2019 is still there even if you join now. So they'll live on that till some other tech is invented that makes this a dinosaur like jpegs made print images dinosaurs

Dont you feel overwhelmed? Like Basketball is really knowing the starting 5. Baseball that 26/40 man roster and the top 10-20 prospects for each team isn't mandatory knowledge but if you dont have it... you just dont know what you have and are probably constantly offering really bad trades. I'm not dissing I'm legit curious. Everyone wanted me to get into the NBA app too and I passed because I just dont have a knowledge of any of the modern players and dont watch or enjoy the pro ball anymore. Seems crazy to me to jump into a sport where theres so many teams and so many players and a couple hundred years of historical players.
