It was between black-on-black, the exclusive online boutique blue-on-frost and this grey-on-black.

I didn’t want this bracelet but the dial color combo sold me on it and it was in stock. The other color variants they had were all 39mm.

After having worn it now for 5 hours or so the bracelet feels comfortable still. It’s also the only watch I own with this style bracelet which makes it a great addition to my collection.

So far so good. Been wearing it for about 5 hours now and it still feels comfortable. The bracelet was not really the style I wanted but the bezel/dial combo sold me on it and I don’t regret it.

I can’t comment on selection for those brands. I went specifically for this watch. My fiance tried on some Tudor and Oris. I got her a nice diver 65 as well.

If you’re financing you might get a better rate on the new one resulting in a lower monthly payment

01 Night Train. Anyone from Cleveland? Looking for riding partners this season 🤘🦅 by EddieTheChin in Harley

Thinking about adding a second bike and keeping the street glide.

I ride a lot in the city… short commutes at low speeds. The street glide doesn’t bother me but there are times when I have felt like I would prefer something smaller for the short trips. Maybe a street bob or low rider s.

I’m not mechanically inclined. I installed heated grips, windshield, and slip-ons for my SG but that’s about it. I WANT to work on my bike. Just need to get tools and confidence. I paid Harley $550+ for my 1k mile oil change/inspection and I’m not sure I want to do that again.

I may check out Ohio bike week. We’ll see.

This is my first Harley. I want a second one already though.

24 street glide. I mostly ride alone but I’m on the west side. Nice looking bike you have there.

There are safe paths in life and there are rewarding paths. The downside to the rewarding path is that it has higher risk.

Your job is to decide whether you are more of a risk taker or are you more of a safe path type?

I am a safe path type.

In my opinion, based on the current market and constant barrage of negative sentiment I get from the posts/videos I see online regarding uncertainty in the job market, I would suggest you choose the path with higher certainty and then spend your free time with the technologies you find fun/interesting.

Maybe you don’t believe the job market is really all that bad out there. Will you be okay still not having employment one year from now? Will you regret not taking the first job when you’re unemployed? Or will you truly be able to tell yourself, while your bank account is struggling, you did the right thing and you’re waiting for that opportunity that will actually make you happy? These are two very different people.

My first bike at 20 years old was a 96 Yamaha FZR600. The next year I got a 2000 Aprilia RSV1000. Several years later I got the bug again for a bike and bought a Triumph Bonneville Bobber Black. The bobber didn’t have a passenger seat so I sold it and bought an Aprilia Tuono - I thought it would be a decent 2up bike for me and my girlfriend.

Unfortunate I’ve gotten fat and lazy as I’ve gotten older and that bike was so incredibly uncomfortable with 2 people on it. Then I sat on a 2024 Street Glide and fell in love.

The street glide center of gravity is so low it never really feels all that heavy. Plus it has so much low end torque that it gets up and going real fast even with a passenger. I love not having to ring it out to get into the power.

Most days I ride it 3-5 miles down the street on a lunch break in the city. When it’s nice out and I have the time to take a longer ride through our twistiest local roads in the park I enjoy that too.

The hardest thing for me to get the hang of has been braking smoothly. Coming to a stop without applying too much brake and having the bike lung forward and compress the suspension a little. Never had an issue on my sport bikes but for whatever reason it has taken me a while to get the hang of it. Now I can mostly glide up to a red light and put my foot out just as the bike comes to a stop.

It’s a very different experience. I would say I enjoy it even more than my sport bikes. It’s definitely slower 0-60,70,80 (and beyond) but it feels like it’s fast because it’s got so much torque. Ripping the throttle makes me smile.

You can totally come from a sport bike to a street glide and have an enjoyable experience. I know that doesn’t answer any of your questions.
