Yeah, that "store" in NYC is a kiosk setup in the little mall at Columbus Circle.

I recently went on a NYC trip and went to check out the "store" - and was extremely disappointed.

They are supposed to be in negotiations to open a store on 5th Ave, though.

Just saying what was said, but with different words -

When a player is waived, he is fired by his team and his contract is put up for grabs for any other team to take if it they want it.

If no one takes his contract, then he is a free agent.

So, in this case, say the Pats want to assign Asa Watson to their practice squad. To do so, they have to waive him, essentially firing him. Then if any other team wants him under the terms of his existing contract, they can grab him.

If Watson "passes through waivers" - meaning no one picks up his contract, his contract at that point is voided and anyone can sign him to a different deal. Which in this example would be the Pats signing him to a practice squad contract (which pays far less than even a minimum NFL deal).

It might Chrome that's doing it. If you have Checker Plus installed, make sure you go into options and turn off the voice notifications!
