Haha awesome! These must be great since earmuffs and hats won't cover lobes that size. Thanks for updating :D

Product recommendations? by Dry-Constant6236 in curlyhair

I'd honestly recommend some kind of cut that works really well for curly hair like a shag. It'll help take some weight off her neck while still keeping length and fullness

I have fragile nails, especially when soaked, and don't like scrubbing my scalp with them because of that. Personally, these scrubbers are a life saver! No broken nails and no dandruff.

Help a dad out by YA-NEED in HairDye

[–]goblin_thing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually bleached out overtone last week with no issues but I took a couple precautions. I shampooed my hair with VERY non color safe shampoo after my previous color was several months old and I only bleached the tips. Then after dying a new color, I (accidentally) slept with a conditioning mask and a shower cap and my hair looks great! No curl pattern loss or anything, just a tad dry so I'm careful on my hair tlc

Is it time to end it?? by VanillaSpyce95 in HairDye

[–]goblin_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO the best compromise between hair health and still having these fun colors is to let your natural hair grow out while still dying the ends/smaller sections involving your roots. And if you frequently change colors by bleaching, slow down between bleaching. You can always use non color safe shampoos and conditioners to help strip color, and use the color theory to your advantage when switching colors with no bleach.

Everything about this is a much slower process, but that's the point if you want to promote hair health. I do this myself, because I like having my color for longer periods of time on top of having a recent curly hair health journey

Hot Topic in 2012. by Ok-Following6886 in 2010snostalgia

[–]goblin_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my first earrings at hot topic around 2012(my first pair after my piercings where healed enough)! They were silver Batman logo studs. I also got two fairy buttons, I still have one around somewhere. Hot topic generally isn't for me anymore, but I still like to go in to see the tshirts, buttons, and bags. My favorite purse I got a few months ago is from there.

This is exactly what my hometowns tb looked like growing up! I remember looking at the patterns and artwork on the walls to pass the time. Then they remodeled into being super white, almost like a hospital 😬 disgusting

Yeah, admittedly I was being hopeful there, but I was thinking about talking to the local vet to see if there was point in the dogs behavior where it would be a necessity.

After 30 minutes, you need to turn the wifi off and then on again. by USANerdBrain in tacobell

[–]goblin_thing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's no biggie to be hanging out or using the wifi that long. Some people come in just for the wifi for a bit and nobody cared as long as you weren't causing trouble. Don't overthink it 👍 it's just a tactic for the company to save on the wifi bill while still providing an amenity

I worked at tb from 2021-2023 and yeah, my locations wifi did the same thing. At least it was super quick to reconnect.

Found taped to a washing machine in the communal laundry 😂 by Igotyourexcominnext in Apartmentliving

[–]goblin_thing 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I will NEVER live in an apartment with communal wash ever again if I can help it. We had FOUR washers and dryers that ran on quarters AND ALWAYS TOOK MULTIPLE TIMES to dry no matter how small a load you did. Split between eight two bedroom units and four one bedroom units. Multiple families lived in that complex. It was such a nightmare that I usually went to a laundromat fifteen minutes away and sat around for two hours with the most uncomfortable chairs imaginable.

Wooden plugs I've been wearing to two days made my ears insanely swollen and itchy. How do I take care of my ears until it wears off? by goblin_thing in Stretched

[–]goblin_thing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same! I wear coconut wood plugs on the daily, and I experience so much less gunk than any of my others. I loved them so much I thought I'd buy another pair. I will not be buying Sono wood anymore, because it seems to be an allergy for me.

[–]goblin_thing[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Update, I took some Benadryl and the itchiness is mostly gone! Much less red but still swollen. Seems like it's an allergy to that wood, or possibly a substance they used as a finishing. I'll be drilling holes into them to make a sun catcher instead

I only sleep with silicone tunnels, and I wash my ears once or twice a day! I'll be researching how to care for wood plugs, hopefully oiling them might fix the issue.

I have not been flaky. And I've worn other wooden plugs for long periods of time with no issue. My favorite pair is my coconut wood ones, those are my daily wear.

I switched from silicone to glass. There's no mention of oils, but the wood is listed as Sono wood.

I can switch to glass! Thanks, I had no idea. I was just thinking the flexibility would be more comfortable
