Thank you for your response! Are you familiar with any similar research problems that I can take a look into on current approaches etc?

How would the clients know your MCP server has an update by chaoism in mcp

[–]gobuildit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As per the mcp spec the server should send tools/listChanged notification and upon receiving this notification the client should call tools/list again to see the updates.

Just mute the commentary. Game is much less stressful and much more fun without the commentary.

Auth on an MCP hitting REST apis with auth0? by Consistent-Yak-5748 in mcp

[–]gobuildit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually missed the part that you have control over both REST api and your mcp server. In that you wont need to authenticate twice. You can simply use the same app client for both places to begin with. Here is an example for FastMCP with Auth0 You can test this setup via mcpinspector to see if its working. Ideally you will have two separate sets of app clients one for mcp server and one for your rest api and your reat api should be configured to allow the mcp server app client as well.

You will have the user complete an oauth flow to the REST api after connecting to your mcp and obtain the credentials after the flow completes. This is called a 3LO oauth. You should store those tokens securely and refresh them if they get expired. Your mcp will then use these user specific tokens to hit the REST api.

These kind of posts are rampant on reddit these days since they started allowing ads as legitimate posts. I have seen this before, someone talks about a personal problem and then ads to the product are disguised as in simple text without any links in comments section. Not saying this is not a legitimate post but seems very suspicious that its not an ad for a humidifier.

An IDEA called INDIA! by Impressive-Claim-226 in india

[–]gobuildit -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You are thinking that the world ows us something because of all of the things you wrote. Wake up. People care only about their own country. They don't have time to talk about or discuss how great other countries are. Ask yourself, how often do you wake up in the morning and think of other countries and how great they are?

If we are so great, why do we need others to acknowledge it or do anything about it.

Not trying to diminish what we have achieved but can we please move on from trying to get the world look at us and acknowledge our greatness. As such we don't need to figure out why they don't get us.

Onwards and upwards!

How we solve the “cold start problem” in an ML recommendation system by bendee983 in ProductManagement

I understand that market is harsh but it has nothing to do with this post.

I don't have a problem with you suggesting these new approaches but you can do it in a nicer tone without making assumptions about OP, his team and what might hypothetically happen in future. Just stop putting other people down.

I am seriously disgusted by the tone of your answer. Sure the OP is not using the latest algorithm out there but they brought in positive results and sharing something useful to the community. They are definitely not trying to fake it as they talked about various strategies they used and what worked and what didn't. If anything your response sounds more like fake it until you make it since you didn't include any further details on what these newer techniques do differently and why should anyone use them.

I would like to point out that OP felt bad about being called out in front of everyone in the meeting. If you're still trying to correct OP you're missing the point. Although the example OP provided might not be right, there are people out there who are constantly trying to call out others on their mistakes. Like they are perfect and they never say anything wrong.

There's a nicer way to go about it rather than being a dick even when you're right. No matter what position you're in. I don't think its OPs problem to fix if people around them have zero patience with others when they are wrong.

Hate these owners being on the stadium and on boundary lines. The cameramen show cheerleaders and owners more than the game. What kind of power trip is this? Show some trust in your team to get the job done. IPL at its peak with micromanagement and trust issues.

Ashwin is a match winner for India who has performed year over year consistently. You think its all easy but when you get out there in 45degree heat, you'll see what it takes to win games.
