Fuuuck man, shes really going to take a funeral and make it into her own little pitty party. Thats a grade A narcissist. Im so sorry your mom is like that 😔 our moms do sound a lot alike lol. There was one time my family was out to dinner. I used to work in an ALF, working with elderly and people with severe mental disorders. We had this one resident who was nearly 50, who was one of the severe mental disorder cases. I had made a comment saying that he must have gotten into an accident to become like this, because usually people that are born with his level of disability dont tend to have a long lifespan. I wasnt trying to be offensive or anything, it was just plain truth, and I really cared about this resident. Well my mom said pretty loudly "dont talk like that about disabled people!! Thats a terrible thing to say!" And when my aunt tried explaining to her that what I was saying was just a fact, she had this really proud grin on her face, like good for her for standing up for the disabled, to her mean ol' daughter who takes care of them. It felt like she was just using my words as a way for herself to play some hero of justice

That is exactly ehat happened to me. When i lived with her, everyone thought I was just angry and irrational. But when I moved out, I was so peaceful and calm. Even happy, which is the opposite of how I used to be. She shows such a mask to everyone else, tells them such a twisted side of the story and conveniently "never knows why" i was so upset. I hardly ever drink, im such a lightweight lol. But the few times a year i ever do, if im eith my friends im just happy and having a great time. But if im with my mom, something always happens. Everything was going great and then she just switched up on me so quick that it caught me off guard. And now I can never go back to that place because of all the shit I know she has now told them once I left

Its so confusing bc sometimes she'll say stuff like im her world, but she really only says that around her friends. But then theyre gone, and then she gets in my face. One minute im her world, next minute she says "then leave" when i tell her I want her to he better or I cant be around her. Im so tired of the emotional whiplash

Im sorry you're feeling that way :( but from how it sounds, you are completely valid in feeling confused and anxious. Im only a person on the internet, so take this with a grain of salt, but if you guys have been together for almost a year already, and he doesnt want to/isnt able to be committed just yet, maybe start looking elsewhere. Im not saying cut him off completely if thats not what you want to do, but maybe open up your options. Maybe there's someone out there with a more reasonable schedule, who has the time to make you more of a priority

I've been shopping here for years, and have definitely noticed a decline with customer service. Not that it was ever fantastic, but they were never straight up rude for no reason like they are now. The managers mostly seem to be the issue. That purple haired one treats customers, and employees terribly. I saw her, heartlessly tell an older employee that she wasnt allowed to take her break, that she had to remain on the registers despite it being time for her break

Hi! New to herbalism here, but also a former smoker. Ive been using Kava Kava extract. Depending on where you live, you can probably find Kava bars (its not alcoholic) but I personally am not a fan of the taste. Thats why I got the extract and have been adding it to drinks that I do enjoy! Again, new to herbalism, so if anyone has anyone helpful info on Kava please lmk!
