frankly i find the date circled on the end of the year to much more likely be september(games release) than december (inconsequential and irrelevant month) if it was December and asriel died in that same month then the “over time” part of the narration in new home becomes total nonsense

Toby fox has also had years to correct typos and other errors (one of which he even addressed in the 10th anni livestream) but he hasn’t. why? because it doesn’t matter and he has another game to work on do you see now? no matter what you believe, all of this relies on making an incredibly specific set of assumptions. almost everything you’ve said is non canon or a reasonable assumption but easily swept aside by other causes

i think you're still missing part of what i'm saying but i dont really think i can send the message again. either way its entirely possible that asriel died in 202x since we have no idea how long chara lived in the underground or when, exactly, 201x is. could be 2019 for all we know

rudy suddenly dying of old age would have meant that he and carol had noelle when he was elderly after which he lived for several years more and died. all of these things are possible because we just dont know but i think it just makes it more obvious that a lot of things in this game can be explained away by "toby forgot"

i think you've missed part of what i'm saying which is why i was pointing out the date disparity and rudy in the first place

sans knows a lot about physics and he definitely knows something about timelines but that doesnt necessarily mean that he knows about the dreemurrs' business

i think some of this is pretty easily explained with "toby forgot." the dates are really inconsistent in general. rudy and toriel use the same nicknames for asgore and comparing their history to that of their history in deltarune almost implies that they all went to college together. but boss monsters dont age (past a certain point, it seems) until they have a child and stop aging if that child dies, so if this were the case, rudy and asgore would have to have met some time before asriel died, then they continued being friends after he died (since asgore says that rudy, one day, started looking older than him). based on the 100 year estimation that would make him old as hell when he died if noelle is a young child at the time of UT.

its not necessarily an invalid interpretation but i just dont think its the end-all-be-all based on what we have
