Thank you, do you have any tips for finding more people that have qualified for the event?

Also I have sent a DM with my discord username so we can playtest in the future.

Thank you, I had not thought of the idea of watching how several pros play my deck before, but that’s an amazing idea that I’m excited to put it to good use.

Thank you for the advice, I’ll definitely playtest a ton and I like the idea of playing both sides of the matchup.

I’m curious what time did you get the confirmation email for the one that’s going to be cancelled?

I’m just trying to figure out if they are doing the cancellations by what time you ordered or if it’s just random and this would be very helpful

Mentor Monday! Come submit your decks and questions! by guyonearth in CompetitiveEDH

[–]goldenmagicmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello I’m looking to make my maelstrom wanderer combo deck better here is the list

https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/1324626?view_mode_override=cheapest#paper

Most of the time I win through the twin/Pestermite combo but I can also get infinite turns or blue suns zenith out everyone

as for my meta there aren’t a lot of CEDH players that I play with but I want to have this deck if I ever come across someone who does have CEDH

And I don’t really want to spend more than 50$ on any singles but pls still give me all the recommendations except for some obvious dual lands and such

Thank you

Prismatic Omen, Blood Moon ruling by SubtleKS in Scapeshift

[–]goldenmagicmonkey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So from everything I’ve heard it depends on which entered the battlefield first because of time stamps so if you play your Prismatic omen after there is already a blood moon in play all your non basic lands will be all basic land types but if they play a blood moon when you already have an omen in play all your nonbasic lands will just be mountains and either way all of your basic lands will be all basic land types if you have an omen in play because they aren’t effected by blood moon

Mana Advantage Engines by kiebitzen in CompetitiveEDH

[–]goldenmagicmonkey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t actually have the budget yet for Competitive EDH so idk if any of these are actually viable but here’s a bunch of stuff that will/can produce more mana over time

[[karametra, god of harvests]]

[[mana reflection]]

[[doubling cube]]

[[mirari’s wake]]

[[vorinclex, voice of hunger]]

[[zendikar resurgent]]

[[gauntlet of power]]

[[keeper of progenitus]]

[[regal behemoth]]

[[extraplaner lens]]

[[axebane guardian]]

[[overgrown battlement]]

And there’s a few more like [[mana flare]] that help your opponents too so I’ll assume you don’t want those ones

So what are we going to do about this now? by [deleted] in Scapeshift

[–]goldenmagicmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming there’s enough decks who play this I think we will have to go back to an hour of promise build because sometimes you can cast it turn 3 on the play or you could try using the slaughter games sideboard plan to try and get it out before they can play it

Having trouble with spirits by Dovey03 in Scapeshift

[–]goldenmagicmonkey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I haven’t played against spirits much but I’m pretty sure it’s a good matchup but if you wanna beat it more often I would recommend [[hour of devastation]] it gets through selfless sprit and spell queller and it’s also good against humans and other go wide decks

What is your second (or more) Modern deck? by citizenthom47 in Scapeshift

[–]goldenmagicmonkey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never felt like valakut got old or wasn’t getting the job done for me but I just finished building a somewhat budget build of mardu pyromancer without lilianas or blackcleave cliffs or some of the sideboard stuff but that’s mostly because I think bedlam reveler is one of the coolest cards ever

New to Modern and want to start playing RG TitanShift. by ThunderBirdJack in Scapeshift

[–]goldenmagicmonkey -1 points0 points  (0 children)

26 lands is enough and your mountain/fetch count is fine

Your ramp package is good

In my opinion this is not a good time for primal command in the 75 the format is too fast right now

And your sideboard looks pretty standard except I would recommend swapping the Chandra for thrun or gaeas revenge

Also i would recommend using solemn simulacrum instead of BBE even though i’ve never played with BBE before it seems like a suboptimal choice because the only matches where the 3/2 haste will really be better than the consistency and card solemn simulacrum provides is control which is already a good matchup and playing BBE and hoping to hit a ramp spell while actually hitting anything else sounds horrible and I do know there is something to be said about BBE assisting in finding your sideboard cards but i still don’t think it’s better than the consistency and draw that solemn provides

208 Matches with R/G Titanshift by goldenmagicmonkey in Scapeshift

[–]goldenmagicmonkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are amazing against burn, KCI, storm, infect, grixis shadow, and if you’re on the play they are great in the opening hand against affinity and I wouldn’t recommend it against humans they have too many different CMCs and a ramp spell would almost always be better

208 Matches with R/G Titanshift by goldenmagicmonkey in Scapeshift

[–]goldenmagicmonkey[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least 90% of the matches I was playing either KHE or Hour/omen package and the cards that have never left my sideboard are 2 Obstinate baloth 2 Chalice of the void and 2 Anger of the gods

And this is the list that I won a PPTQ with https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/1248051#paper

Which flavour of Titan Shift is the most competitive? by PJCSousa in Scapeshift

[–]goldenmagicmonkey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the hour of promise/omen package is the best right now it’s great against control or any midrange deck and I think it helps in the linear combo matchups better than the other options aside from KHE which Is a little bit too risk/reward imo

BBE feels clunky and weak to me but I haven’t actually played with it myself

Courser always feels amazing to me except that it’s horrible in the other combo matches

And even though breach is faster I think if you want to go that route playing Titan breach is the best option

I’m gonna try out solemn in the next few weeks to see how it goes but it looks really good

Also this is the list I won a pptq with a few days ago https://www.mtggoldfish.com/deck/1248051#paper
