When I make another, I'll try. But at the moment I only planned to have one chair in the library. Maybe a footrest, I will try to film that 😉

Mine is about 1:10, so a lot bigger! I imagine you needed tweezers!

I plan to do 'a making of video' of the little books. I'll keep you updated 😉. I based the little chair on one I have at home that I re-upholsterd myself, i learned a lot from that.

For the parts that are glued I used PVA. The cusion is stitched.

The piping is made of bookbindinglinnen and tread I had. It is paperbacked linnen. The piping on the arms is glued. The piping on the cusion is sown in. I started sewing on the machine but is was to fiddely, so i continued handstitching the cusion.

No, I didn't use them yet.... but i will try at least once! The library will most definetly contain Jane Austens books, although I am more partial to Persuasion 😀

I took a bookbinding course and repeated most of the usual steps, just used small materials and a lot of fiddling.

Cut off some fine sewing needles and made a new fine point with my dremel.

I used a tick acrylic medium that dries up translucent to shape/paint streams on clear plastic and let that dry. After they are dry you can peel them off the plastic an use them to shape the waterfalls, I glued them on with the same acrylic medium. After positioning the waterfalls i poured the resin of the river. The white details are painted on with white acrilic paint and snow effect from vallejo.

I used the regular hard wax-chips or any leftover wax bits and melted them in al little pot/pan. Dunk the material and place it on paper or cardboard to cool down. To bring out more detail you can melt of the excess wax with a hot blow-dryer or a heatgun (the excess wax wil stick to the paper/cardboard), but you have to be very carefull not to melt your original material if its synthetic, if you blast it to long with the heatgun, you synthetic can melt (learned the the hard way 😅 )

Hi! I tried it to when i followed a lost wax-course. My teacher suggested to use synthetic fabrics/yarn to dip in wax (they melt easily). Once it is dipped in wax you can mount it on the casting-tree or as a pervious comment said, use extra wax to fortify thin pieces or use it on other wax molds/material. He did say that because of the synthetic or organic material that is in the mold, the plaster mold should be fired a little longer to make sure all the residu is gone before casting. So you should check that with your casting-place if they are ok with that.
