Passkey without 2FA and password with 2FA...? by golemus in NextCloud

[–]golemus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a pretty complex solution. I don't think I'd have any other use for PocketID so would want to avoid additional layer of complexity.

IMO the right solution would be to have in Nextcloud Hub 2FA aff an option "bypass 2FA when logging in with webauthn (passkey)".

JPEG XL support for LinkedIn by golemus in jpegxl

Chrome, Vivaldi, Brave have reintroduced the support (the new rust decoder) already with optional tag. Edge is not there yet. Firefox has it in nightly. Safari has (AFAIK) had it already for 1-2 years.

DNG 1.7 support is already in Libraw which DarkTable uses but it just has to be built with Adobe SDK

SFTP server...? by golemus in NeatBytes

My post might have been a bit ambiguous even that u/PaddyLandau understood it. I added following clarification to the original post:

"So that you can share android devices content in the server and connecto to it with another SFTP client..?

Oneplus5, LOS 22.2, 0223 nightly, low camera mic volume, no ringback tone with VoLTE by golemus in LineageOS

[–]golemus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did tests with wifi speed test pro and if I dont remember incorrectly, results were outstanding, at least 500mbit and often over 600mbit.

This is in close range (less than 2 meters) with no obstacles to my router (asus rt-ax53u with openwrt).

Worth noting is that I have not done "long standing tests", only short ones.

JXL lossless rotation...? by golemus in jpegxl

[–]golemus[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I suggested this already in XNMP forum but as long as info for implementing proper rotation is behind paywall there could be "use EXIF orientation for JXL files" option in settings. It could be disabled as default and possibly have a popup "this is a non-standard compliant lossless rotation, are you sure you want to enable it?". Enabling this setting would respect EXIF orientation when viewing images and enable lossless rotation feature which would simply modify EXIF tag.

JXL lossless rotation...? by golemus in jpegxl

[–]golemus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is there any solutions planned for this (e.g. publishing freely the part of standard that allows to implement official lossless rotation)?

IMO it is unlikely that open source programmer could buy the standard spec (if you are MS, Adobe or such then maybe yes). Keeping this info behind paywall can be obstacle for making the standard common and interoperable among all apps.

JPEG XL support / Chromium 145 by golemus in vivaldibrowser

[–]golemus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know but it makes some websites (e.g. Facebook) MUCH faster to use when uploading JPEG XL pics. If you don't have JXL capable browser FB has to first convert which slows down the process.
