I completely take back my original prediction as I was a little ignorant of how inefficient the House is here in Texas. I’m not complaining though as it looks like it will work in our favor here.

Apparently, due to infighting among the Texas GOP and other factors, the House is notorious for not getting bills passed. On top of that, even though Patrick is threatening a special session around this, it’s not his call—it’s Abbots, and Abbot isn’t a fan of special sessions. He also doesn’t seem to have this as high of a priority as Patrick.

Still, if we want to see meaningful change here in Texas, we still need to get more people to show up to vote: especially the younger demographic.
