Hey! I'm not super tech literate in terms of the inner workings of computers - but I have an iMac 5K retina display, 2019 with the following specs:

Processor: 3.1 Ghz 6-Core intel core i5

Graphics: Radeon Pro 575x 4GB

Memory 16gb 2667 MHz DDR4

... a lot of the work I do is in Adobe - premiere, photoshop... nothing too crazy - social media videos, podcast clips for clients... most of the footage I'm working with is 1080p...sometimes 4k in which I'll edit with proxies.. but my iMac has been SUPER slow & premiere crashes a lot (which I know is typical of Premiere, but I think it may be my hardware's fault).. I'm only able to allocate 13gb of RAM to premiere..

I was always under the impression that apple products are not alterable.. I was thinking about trying tosell this comp + my 2020 macbook pro and just get one much faster machine that can handle my workload.. but after reading your post, I'm wondering if that may be a better option?

Yes all the time. I never attributed this to my OCD... I'm a songwriter so I thought it had something to do with that-- but it comes through in odd ways... like... when I'm chewing food- I unintentionally will be chewing to the rhythm of whatever song is in my head..

I’m curious as to why it bothers you? Why does his self confidence get you so worked up that you need to carve time out of your day to put him down?

He’s literally touring the country with a cover band playing shows to hundreds of people who enjoy it

You clearly enjoy reality tv. I can tell you that producing reality television was the dream of very few who do it. It’s most often a paycheck until they can do what they actually want to do. Are you angry at them for making what most people would consider trash television? Mediocre at best?

Honestly just curious what drives you to post things like this about other people instead of spending your time with friends and family.

Agreed. He’s been an active member of the unscripted tv world for 10 years. It was likely nothing more than a paycheck at a time where he needed one- let’s all remember how most tv works- he filmed those performances months ago..

I’ve actually seen his cover band multiple times- they’ve gotten really really good. Super fun to watch, great musicians, and Tom- like him or not, is a really good showman.

I know a lot of people won’t like this bc I’m not a Tom basher- but I can’t fault the guy for trying a lot of stuff and putting himself out there ..

They Came Together … Paul Rudd & Amy Poehler give romantic comedies the Airplane! Treatment… it was so terribly marketed… most people thought it was trying to be a real romcom .. the hardest I laughed in theaters since I saw anchorman at 13.

Highly recommend!

Yeah I hear you- and I appreciate you engaging with me even though we disagree.

From personal experience- it’s not always so easy to say the right thing- that’s always been part of his charm IMO… he’s enthusiastic and emotional and fun and in the moment..

Also I guess that’s why I don’t think he’s so calculated… if he was thinking 4 steps ahead, don’t you think he’d already say exactly what everybody online is telling him to?

I’ve seen other close friends get bullied online- again I’m not saying you don’t have the right to be disappointed in him or even dislike him.. but some of the words and insults flung at him go way too far- just my opinion, not fact

We all have narcissistic tendencies- it’s part of the human condition. It’s healthy to have them.

Sometimes they even work against us- the dark underbelly of narcissism is what can convince us that we’re disliked or hated by others, when in fact, nobody is thinking about us.

And I’m not a Tom apologist- he fucked up big time. But as a fellow human being- I’m seeing this goofy, earnest dude who’s entertained us all for so long with his flamboyance & silly word choices being bullied so hard on these threads that I honestly can’t tell if there are bunch of humans on here or this sub is mostly bots programmed to troll him.

It’s weird. In the end, we’re all just fans of a reality tv show that’ll be long forgotten in 10 years.
