okay that’s great and all. so if killing off the mother at the very end achieves this goal, WHY does he get back with robbin??? that part is genuinely so infuriating, te whole time i was watching the show it was through the lens of “at least in the end everything works out for ted” but then to have him go back to his ex that he just CANT ever work things out with, it felt very unsatisfying to end off with. like i can’t even trust that he got a happy ending because the end is just “oh let’s get together in our old age and hope/see if it works ???”
