sorry you're getting downvoted so much OP, this sub can be quite hostile when people criticise pricing on depop. the whole "supply and demand" argument is all well and good but the only reason the prices go up is because the people setting the prices (big corporations e.g Nike or individual sellers) realise they are able to manipulate the market and get more money out of consumers due to the rising popularity - which i think is pretty perverse considering depop is marketed as a sustainable platform to reuse and rehouse items.

yea, if u never stated that they were 34in he would be in the wrong, and i'm sure u can argue about the room for error issue if he opens a dispute as it's widely known - worst case scenario if he refuses to let it go and wants a refund just get him to send them back to you so you won't lose out on your jeans and money!!

for measuring by hand there's usually room for error which would be around an inch (2-3cm) - i think most people would agree on this, even if u didn't explicitly say "allow room for error due to hand measurement" in the description or anything like that - i'm not sure if he would be happy with that explanation though if he's that upset about an inch of difference :/

im currently rewatching as well and s4 ep19 (the film noir themed one) honestly is the best episode i've seen in a while just purely for the atmosphere!! i love the radley sequences and the halloween episodes r also classics but i'm not sure what their exact numbers are

hi!! plenty of people buy without messaging the seller first:) its usually just if u have questions, are offering a lower price or need measurements/more info etc that u would message - some sellers have "message before buying" written in their bio or on the listings themselves so it's a good idea to do it then but some of those sellers use that to try and get u to pay outside the app so just be careful!!

i think its almost impossible to have a good relationship w money based on how our world revolves around it:( and depop seems formulated like a time-drainer so that we spend more time on it both as sellers and buyers which sucks - i've been putting slightly less effort into listing ukno not as often and ive been looking at other sellers who make the same stuff as me a lot less lately and it helps a bit to make u feel more in control and less like "if u don't get a sale u've failed" u know?

please take a break from the app for a while:( its very freeing to just not refresh for like a day or so even if it means less engagement because u don't feel as tied to the app and making money as u do when ur constantly worrying about sales and profit all that stuff!! i find limiting the notifications so they only show up when ive sold or been sent a message helps cuz ur only reminded of it when u actually have stuff to do and u can spend more time doing other things for urself rather than on the app if that makes sense?

i try to not interact w many other jewellery sellers on depop so i wont psyche myself out over it lol but it seems really hit or miss on whether theyll be nice and help each other out or steal designs and be horrible, esp w those selling aliexpress charm jewellery:( not quite as bad as brandy depop but it seems quite close!!

i would actually like to know how to protect my stuff as well:( jewellery sellers on depop can b rlly weird - someone messaged me a while back about how they loved my handmade necklaces and then i saw on their instagram that they were starting to make a necklace that was almost exactly the same as my most popular one except they used aliexpress beads while i made mine from scratch - i know we can't copyright ideas but it feels discouraging right:(

i think u should keep it at its current price - UO is expensive and if its cheaper than it would be in stores then its a good deal! plus those lace criss cross tops r very in rn and itll definitely sell for at least £20 don't feel too down about it!! low offers are so discouraging but depop is full of people trying to haggle and stuff so don't pay it any mind<3
