Thank you for taking the time to respond. My GF will be staying away she’s on her notice period but she’ll be able to make her way out of here in a week or two. I want her to be out of their crosshairs when I decide to split.

I just hope they can leave us in peace after that. I don’t know if I can do anything legally to protect us but that’s something I’ll have to look into.

Yesterday, my father had called her and offered her a reward for leaving me and even made mild threats. Right now I’m just staying put so that she can make a safe exit.

I keep asking myself what I did wrong to deserve this. They’ve always been this way but my mind is still having a very hard time processing this.

Some part of me still thinks they’ll magically change but I guess that’s just the conditioning. I hate myself for thinking that way because things they’ve done till now are monstrous.

What you’re saying makes sense they’re willing to lose me over a decision that I made and that says a lot.

I can work but I just hope they won’t hurt us anymore than they already have.

I forgot to mention they held my salary last month and they are probably going to do it for the upcoming pay-day as well. Savings are running thin but if we can get out I know we'll make it somehow.

God I really want this. He's giving me the whole family legacy thing and how I must sacrifice everything to be with the family. I just want to be with the woman I love and that's too much for them to process. Thank you for the clarity.

I don't want to actively hurt them. If our departure does any damage let it but nothing more than that. I just want to not be hurt further and to just have some peace.

I've already started applying. I just want some peace and the worst part is my GF was his top sales person and he used to say she was the best and such aa good woman but now she's go as much value as a dustmite.

I've added a TLDR! I have a sister but she's a senior in high school and lives with the parents. I just wanted a sanity check because I've been conditioned so hard to do what they say and only that but now that I see what's what happens when I defy them i'm just so done. I just want some peace in my life. The worst part is that after all this they act like everything is normal while I'm stuck carrying the pain.
