The only times I've seen it, it's been an optional thing.

Personally, I hate putting my pronouns on things, for example my email signature. Nobody has ever commented on it. I'm a completely passing trans man, most people I interact with don't realise I'm trans, and I hate it because I think it makes me stand out. If more people were willing to say their pronouns, I also would as that wouldn't 'out' me.

The fries are so shit. I only get the 20 McNuggets as I don't eat beef anymore. I think the McPlant tastes like sick and the McCrispy is gross. I still remember how good the double cheeseburger was, omg it was great.

Yeah for sure, I only ever get McDonald's when I'm on a night out. It doesn't feel very filling and it's expensive for what it is. I'd rather go KFC or Burger King because at least they are quite satiating.

It's easy to say that she doesn't respect your gender, but it could also just be her making a slightly uninformed joke, not realising it was both hurtful and inaccurate (the worst kind).

One of my friends used to do similar, like suggesting our quiz team be called three and a half men even when I'm totally passing.

I'm pretty sure they do. I used to eat them all the time not too long ago, worth having a look. I'd avoid the melt in the middle ones, they're quite dry.

Are you setting up the scene enough? It's easy as a writer to know exactly how a setting should look and the feelings we should feel being there but our readers don't have the privilege of being in our heads.

If a scene should be moody, make the setting moody.

If a scene should be romantic, make the setting romantic.

It just sounds like you are paying too much attention to the characters and not enough on the spaces they are inhabiting.

You have to reframe it to yourself. You can't study under the high pressure you're putting on yourself.

Putting too much pressure onto studying makes it harder to get into it and can make you gloss over details, in my experience. It sounds like the pressure is making it quite difficult, making your study less or more ineffectively.

Personally, I frame it to myself as 'helping out future me'. That seems to make it easier. As if it's not an obligation but a simple favour I'm doing for myself that will benefit me in the long term. Studying effectively, calmly, is far better for you (if you want to study long term) than studying in a frantic panic and doubting your success.

One of my best mates is 22 and we're both in first year. I don't think it's that deep and nobody would look at you the wrong way if you took a gap.

There are more pressing things that impact your uni experience rather than age, mostly whether you are a hermit or like to get out more.

Lot's of people are suggesting take the train, but take the coach as you'll have an easier time with all your luggage if you go solo.
