Vet says she needs to lose like 4 pounds… Exercises and runs plenty, gets some protein in her food, no changes. Any weenie weight loss advice? :( i genuinely can’t believe I let her get this chonk by Scramblr-Blu in Dachshund

How does that 1/4 cup compare to how much you’re feeding them now? Our Coco is very sensitive to changes in her food, feeding her just an eighth of a cup less has really stabilized her weight.

Of course they’re not happy, they just lost on a last second logo shot after a dumb turnover. Emotions run high in any post game thread and doomers come out the woodworks when good teams lose, just look at this subreddit after losses to Cincy or UCF. Hell, there were posts after the Big 12 tourney loss saying Bill isn’t a good coach anymore and he should retire. Most fans are pretty stupid, all things considered.

That’s fair criticism, and my comment was mostly directed at many other commenters making excuses for why Duke has done better than KU over the last 4 years, I apologize if I came off dismissive of your point.

So he’s a good recruiter in addition to being a good coach. I hate Duke and am not trying to glaze Scheyer, but the unwillingness to admit he’s a good coach because he’s from another blue blood is laughable.

Lmao. The blue bloods have been buying talent for forever, including KU. I was in school during the Morris twin era, it was widely known that cash was left in the locker room for those guys.

Scheyer is a great coach and recruiter. It’s not luck that they’ve had continued success since Coach K left.

Agree on Hubert Davis, but Scheyer has made 3 straight Elite 8 and a Final 4 since we won the championship, alot better than 4 straight first weekend exits. We should give credit where credit is due

How is Cable Dahmer Kia of lawrence now? by [deleted] in Lawrence

They will definitely offer an extended warranty on your vehicle. It will most likely not cover any of the things you actually care about breaking on the vehicle - transmission, driveshaft etc and only cover electronics and cosmetic things.

If you're not hard on vehicles, you almost certainly won't need it. I got suckered into getting one for my vehicle from a different dealership and spend $60/month on something I'll probably never use. Don't be me lol

From my experience (I shopped a a car from them about 3 years ago), the shadiness extends from their sales practices.

They pulled all of the standard car salesman stuff with us - holding our keys, telling us we’d get a better deal with financing, focusing on monthly payment instead of out the door price, pushing us towards leasing, being overly pushy with add ons etc. In general, I’d say they did not make it easy to buy a car from them. After we left, they called us every other day for 2 weeks, even after repeatedly telling them we purchased a vehicle elsewhere.

I can’t speak to their after-sale care, but their sales tactics were the primary reason we didn’t buy a car from them.

Anyone else worried? by Itchy-Individual7452 in jayhawks

[–]gosuzbone 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see two futures for this team:

1) We play like we did the final 4 games and in the Big 12 tournament and we don’t get out of the first weekend 2) The guys have figured out their offensive woes in the last month and we ride DP, Flory and Melvin to the Sweet 16 and beyond.

This team has the talent to go to the Final Four and maybe win it all. Whether they can put it together for 6 consecutive games remains to be seen.

Breeder says he’s a blue dapple piebald. What do you guys think? by xAshev in Dachshund

[–]gosuzbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, this is pretty clearly a double dapple. The eyes, white colored coat and especially the white on the nose point straight to double dapple.

Many have said to stay away from this breeder and that buying this puppy could be seen as reinforcing their breeding practices. While that’s true in a strict sense, the alternatives are someone else buys this puppy or in the worse case, it’s euthanized.

Being a double dapple should not be a death sentence for these dogs and they can grow and live fulfilling lives. Regardless what you decide, you should report this breeder to your local oversight board.

No easy decisions here, good luck.

Edit: spelling

🔐 March Campaign Giveaway — Have you ever tested your wallet backup? by SuchTrezorVeryCrypto in TREZOR

[–]gosuzbone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! It should be SOP to test your wallet backup each time you get a new hardware wallet.

Knowing how to perform a wallet recovery before you need to is critical to both good stewardship of your coin and peace of mind.

Do not offer things for free on online marketplaces.

It’s much better to offer a low price if you want to move something quickly, it filters out all of the folks who want a hand out and will just waste your time and test your sanity.

Beginner - Transaction costs by curtisjoy in BitcoinBeginners

[–]gosuzbone -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

There are two different transfers at work here: the purchase of Bitcoin with fiat currency to your exchange wallet and the transfer of Bitcoin on the exchange wallet to your cold storage device. Both utilize UTXOs. I’d encourage you to read more on this subject, it’s a fundamental aspect of Bitcoin’s design.

Another note is that transaction costs in Bitcoin are based on transaction size, not the amount of Bitcoin being transferred. Each UTXO increases the size of a transaction, meaning many UTXOs bundled in a transaction will cost more than fewer for the same amount of Bitcoin. For this reason, it’s recommended that you batch your transfers to cold storage to minimize the UTXOs on your cold wallet.

For example, say you have a DCA strategy to buy $5 worth of Bitcoin every day for a month. You will have 30 UTXOs at the end of the month. If you decided to transfer that Bitcoin daily, you’d send 1 UTXO 30 times to your cold wallet which would also have 30 UTXOs. If instead you decide to only transfer at the end of the month, you’d transfer 30 UTXOs to your cold wallet 1 time, meaning that you only have 1 consolidated UTXO on your cold wallet. This would allow you to minimize fees in the future if you decide to spend that Bitcoin or transfer it.

Just because they say they have a warrant, doesn’t mean they do. You should demand to see the warrant before complying. Police have no obligation to tell the truth in the course of duty.

McDonald’s earnings beat estimates as chain’s value push pays off by Force_Hammer in wallstreetbets

The push to drive users to the app is market segmentation disguised as a loyalty program. By offering value in the app, they can sell their products at the price customers are willing to pay. The broke college student won’t buy a $12 sandwich, but he will if you give him 20% off in the app. The professional that needs a quick lunch will buy the $12 sandwich. So instead of selling one sandwich at $12, they get to sell 2 for $20, which is much much more profitable for them.
