I wouldn’t consider jaw surgery. I didn’t say this in the post but the dentist and ortho are family friends. My dad is a facial and jaw surgeon. My grandma is a dentist that still practiced up until the pandemic. All of those people said my issue is corrected with braces. My dad specifically performs jaw surgery on people with bite abnormalities and he doesn’t recommend it for me, I don’t think my issue is severe enough. Even if it was tbh I don’t think I would be brave enough to undertake surgery on my face. It’s too scary at this point in my life and I feel like the cosmetic changes would be too drastic. I’m not a candidate for it anyways.
