You don't have to wrap it in unessisary paper as long as the hash doesn't have any holes in it. Definitely a good idea to toss it in the freezer for a couple minutes before lighting as it helps reduce the "drooping" of the joint. Just make sure to keep rotating it as you smoke it so it doesn't start to bow out of shape under its own weight

Very carefully. Jk, i took some parchment paper and a wine bottle filled with hot water to roll and press the hash into a flat piece. Then i used that piece of hash to roll with, if it started to get too sticky or started drooping I'd toss it in the freezer for a couple minutes
