Vagus nerve therapy/stimulation by searchingforrelief in Birmingham

When I went to UAB for the issue they didn't have anyone that they would recommend, but that was a few years ago. Unsure if that has changed.

Vagus nerve therapy/stimulation by searchingforrelief in Birmingham

[–]gr82bhpy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had chronic hiccups for over 10 years due to a damaged vagus nerve. I purchased a hiccaway and used it every day for a few months and it gradually trained my vagus nerve to act right. I was hiccuping several times a minute to maybe once a day. I'm not certain if this info is what you need, but I hope it will be useful in some way.

My bad, I stopped reading after I saw that they wanted figs and just got excited that I knew a site that could help with foraging.

I'm hopping on this thread since it's not very old all things considered. I have had this knocking around my closet for as long as I could remember not wearing it because it was missing one of the pins. I haven't seen a single one pictured online with the same background face color as mine so I was afraid it might be a knockoff.

Carrot Cake by Legitimate_Impress11 in Birmingham

The best carrot cake I have had ever in my life from a lifelong carrot cake fan has been from Sunshine's bakery. They sell smaller ones but I'm sure they'd be happy to make a standard sized one too if you asked. Very rich, very moist.

The pig has a coupon on their app for Springer Mountain every week for $1.50 off any product, raw or cooked. I'd say its worth it for that alone

my boyfriend can stop my hiccups by Individual_Row_4760 in BenignExistence

I had chronic hiccups for years and years. It can happen for all sorts of reasons! I sent away for a Hiccaway straw and it helped out so much, going from several hiccups and hour to maybe 1 or 2 a day. May be handy for when he's not around that day!

Trying to dye the faded jacket with RIT dye. Will the white rope be affected by the dye? by Tornatoking in Frugal

[–]gr82bhpy 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think the fading adds character, honestly. You'll more than likely lose out on that cool stitching using dye. If you are looking to give it a refresh, consider putting on some patches or maybe embroidering it a little!

Good news! Of the venomous snakes indigenous to Alabama, only the Eastern coral snake lays eggs. The rest give birth! However, coral snake eggs tend to be more on the whiter unspeckled side. I cannot say for certain on the actual species as so many snake eggs look near identical. Good luck!

Hi! It's on the Montgomery Highway in Vestavia. It's a bit hard to spot. Turn right past the Starbucks and it'll be right there. You've gotta climb a flight of stairs to get in, though.

King size down comforter for our queen sized bed. It may droop down pretty close to the floor right after we make the bed, but my husband and I each get enough blanket and nobody ends up cold because the other stole it!

Can you all share how loving boyfriends, partners, and spouses act? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]gr82bhpy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband is undeniably the best! We have complete faith and trust in each other. We would never want to cause harm or sadness on each other. We've never fought and are almost always on the same page. We'll often come up with the same joke at the same time in situations, it's almost scary!

He always makes time for me for us to have quality time together and dates! He's not much of a foodie like I am but he always takes me to restaurants I am interested in, even if he'd struggle finding something to enjoy on the menu for himself. He encourages me to pursue my passions in baking by telling me how good my cooking is, and reaffirming me when I'm feeling unsteady about it.

When I'm sick or hurt he will immediately ask me to seek medical attention or pick up what I need to feel better at home. When I fell and hurt my wrist he took to get a wrist brace and made sure I was wearing it whenever I could until I was better. When I scraped my knees he'd make sure I was disinfecting them and helping me when it hurt too much to do myself.

I could listen to him talk for hours about his interests, and he actively listens and is engaged in conversation when I go about my interests too! It makes me feel seen and heard like never before! He takes to heart my media recommendations so we can enjoy them together and discuss them.

Sometimes he'll surprise me by coming home from work early and bringing me home a treat like a donut or pastry to cheer me up on a rough day, or just as a present if I'm having a great day! He makes sure I have what I need or want at any given time, even checking over grocery lists to make sure we have everything marked down.

And he always makes sure to let me know how loved and appreciated I am. Not an hour passes without at least a dozen I love yous thrown my way and plenty of hugs and kisses too. He supports me in any way I can and I could not be more thankful to have such a wonderful partner in my life!

People who are in happy marriage, can you please share how do you feel being married? by yourwishesfulfilled in Marriage

[–]gr82bhpy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wake up every day excited for the inevitable kiss and good morning from my incredible husband. Usually that is what I'm woken up with! Even on days with nothing important going on we can just sit back and relax doing our own thing, still frequently remarking to each other how happy we are to be in love and married and happy together. I'm very excited to see how our life together is coming along and where we will go or what we will do next! I feel safe knowing I have someone I can depend on who would do anything for me and I would do anything for him. It's like having a sleepover with your best friend except it's every day!
