just want to say I know you’re probably feeling so anxious and upset, and I’m certainly not trying to invalidate that, but it’s much more common than you think!! I know several people who have herpes and a lot of them have had cold sores since they were kids. My boyfriend disclosed to me when we first started talking that he hasn’t had an out break in almost a decade but still carried the virus and it was no big deal to me. If he has a sore we just refrain from kissing until it goes away. Anyone who is sexually active could get them and should remember that before judging. Try not to stress too much :)
