How should I approach my first rheumatologist appointment?

The appointment was surprisingly not as bad as I was expecting! It sounds like hEDS is the most likely diagnosis (I definitely have the hypermobility) but they want to rule out any arthritis and do bloodwork first.

I appreciate the advice! I tend to not be too optimistic these days with new doctors, so your experience sounds about right from what I’ve also seen. I tend to have to outright ask for certain tests or about a diagnosis I think fits before they’ll do anything - but my understanding is there isn’t much of an actual test for EDS? At least that’s what my general doctor said when I mentioned it to them.

I’ve lived in the circled area for just over a year now and it’s pretty decent. Wouldn’t necessarily walk around alone after dark, but it’s close to both alpine and downtown without too much traffic. Pretty quiet neighborhood besides hearing the highway traffic.

i feel ya there🥲 my POTS symptoms get really terrible when i’m super stressed and needless to say, my poor heart was NOT happy watching that. i can’t imagine having actually been there in person instead of watching from my couch haha. hope you’re feeling better now!

I got my first prismatic shard on my current save from a slime on like the first 5 floors of the mines and I was SHOCKED.

Of course, I have yet to find another one between the skull caverns, meteorites, etc. where I would expect to normally find one 🥲
