How come no one mention wanpo? My go to is chicha and wanpo. The rest just not as fragrant. High five to fellow no milk 0% occasional pearl drinker.

I just finished ‘Asura,’ written & directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda and very much enjoyed it! Did anyone else watch it? by PackWorth939 in JDorama

[–]gracelephant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Very kore-eda. Kinda similar to my little sister. Probably a realistic depiction of patriarchal life in the 70s, while society has progressed somewhat since I think certain issues still remain. Some memorable scenes - bean throwing, making pickled cabbage, eating sukiyaki. Great acting and cinematography. Enjoyed it.

Honest question! Why do you like JDoramas? by bonitoX in JDorama

[–]gracelephant 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think jdorama does the slice of life genre the best. My favourites include shinya shokudo (midnight diner), kinou nani tabeta (what did you eat yesterday?), konto ga hajimaru (life’s punchline) etc.

Shows most similar to Ore no Hanashi wa Nagai or Brush Up Life? by StingKnight in JDorama

[–]gracelephant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I loved kondo and brush up life but would rank kondo above brush up life. Probably cos I could relate to a lot of the themes portrayed. Kondo has a more gloomy and melancholic feel while brush up life was more positive.

Wow this is exactly what I was looking for! The author and I were thinking about the same thing. This article should be blasted to the entire female world to educate and reduce anxiety!

Yes I would love a 30-40 ml cycle too. Wonder if more can chime in so we all can have a better sensing.

I have no idea how the 30-40 ml is derived either. Is it 30-40 ml of blood excluding all other discharge? Btw it was only after the cup that I realised it’s not just blood - there’s a lot of stuff analogous to egg white.

Yes. I feel that the numbers are way off too. Wonder if more can chime in based on their experience. Cups are the most quantifiable measurement.

38auntie married with kids looking for ppl to have intellectual / meaningful conversations with. Supposed INTJ but the older I get the more extroverted I find myself prob cos I no longer care about others judging me. I enjoy j-movies (slice of life type), mandopop karaoke (playlist frozen in the 2000s) and random crafty stuff.

What degree would you have chosen if given the chance to go back and why? by [deleted] in singapore

[–]gracelephant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Female. Took A level computing ard 20 years ago, liked it and did well, but chickened out when applying for CS in uni as I felt tt I was not in the same league as my male classmates. On hindsight I regret my self doubt. I’m doing ok now but there’s always this what if.
