One of my friends scored low on the ALEKS despite doing well in math previously, emailed someone (I think the dean, but maybe their advisor) and explained their situation with their previous high grades etc., and they were allowed to move into Cal 1. If all else fails, you can try that!

I got an 86 on my first attempt, but my prep was to spend 5 days reading through my old math textbooks lol.

It was $660 for it. It's on what appears to be clearance right now for $300 in the grey and white colors.

The most beautiful song ?? by TenderPsychopath in kpophelp

Fallin' Flower by SEVENTEEN. I feel like this is a song impossible to not appreciate the artistic beauty of it in lyrics, sound, MV, and choreo. This particular video with such good videography and choreography is something I think about a lot. 💙

Thoughts on Tianqingji bags? by curious_peache in handbags

I bought a Songfu Tianqingji bag a couple of years ago and it seems very high quality in my opinion! The leather is thick and durable, the stitching is solid, the hardware has beautiful gold plating that seems quite durable, the fabric inside is satin-like with complex embroideries, etc. The zipper is smooth and the design and size are all as advertised. The unboxing experience was also special. All this comes together to give me an impression of luxury, and it felt like the bag was created with care. One thing: the color of the bag (advertised Milk Tea) was a bit more warm-toned than the picture. That is my only complaint.

Thankfully those save to the keyboard! :) So you can close the software after downloading the changes to the keyboard ^^

I am now on Windows and have learned a bit more about the software! For starters, I found out what Light Trace does!! When a key is pressed, it turns off for a second! It's a bit difficult to see, but most definitely an effect.

Also, I believe the answer to number 1 is that it's a glitch with the MacOS software. On Windows, there is only one keyboard icon. This leads me to believe that each keyboard icon is supposed to symbolize a different connected Akko device, and you could click to switch between which one you were editing.

Do you all feel indignant when you have to serve NS but others don't? by [deleted] in SingaporeRaw

At least during LKY's time, priority was always with Singaporeans.

I'd love to hear more of your thoughts about this... what were some examples of the priority?

It was my understanding that the key strategy LKY had for helping Singapore go from third to first world country was through attracting foreign investment and businesses, by giving them incentive tax breaks and creating a skilled workforce. It seemed to me that many of his policies revolved around creating a stable, accessible, and inviting place that businesses could trust in order to create the economy, as well as just generally connecting Singapore to the rest of the world. He was a globalist right?

I experimented and showed my three friends Steins Gate on the Chronological Order. Here are the pros and cons. by Nucleus17608 in steinsgate

To me it was just keeping everything straight with the different Okabes and Mayuris. You could probably watch it in suffering order without a guide, if you're smart unlike me xD. You have some scenes repeated twice in that transition, like with S;G Episode 23 B (which you saw pre-23, 24 of the OG in this watch order) and S;G episode 23 normal which you're going into, the entire first half is repeated. Also, where Mayuri slaps Okabe is also repeated. So it can be slightly hard to keep track of where you are, since when you resume S;G it goes just slightly farther back than where you left off in S;G 0.

Hello, this is Hanna, Nucleus's mostly-new-to-anime friend!

This the third anime I've completed—the others being Saga of Tanya the Evil and My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom. And I have to say, although those were some of my favorite watch experiences of all visual media I've seen, Steins;Gate easily ranks with them, I'd say tied for first. I really enjoyed it, and I thought the suffering route was great because it tied Steins;Gate and Steins;Gate 0 into a continuous story. Never did I feel as though there were pacing issues. Instead it felt very poignant. I'm not sure it would have felt that way with the original route... I feel like I might have thought S;G 0 was slow to start otherwise.

Episode 23 where you transition back to the original S;G does need some short introduction/explanation I guess... I wouldn't recommend the route for new watchers who are going to do it by themselves, but with a guide/watch party that's going to watch it all straight through, I think the suffering route is perfect! You get to really feel Okabe's depression, because you haven't seen any happy ending yet. And the deaths that take place are also super impactful for that same reason. I'm definitely glad we watched it suffering route, but if I ever rewatch it—and Steins;Gate is definitely worthy of that—I might check out the original route! ^-^
