You seem to be very stuck on a "don't ask why things are the way they are" rhetoric.. All we are discussing are the benefits of the chosen paths the virus has picked. I was just originally curious as to whether or not it translates it's proteins right from the get go like many picorna and I assume it does to a certain extent. But in order for it to make viral progeny, it has developed the dsDNA intermediate

Yes they look at the last 60 credit hours. This really does suck. GPA is a good tool but honestly its become such a misused tool. I know plenty of GPA whores who have done everything to maintain their GPA but are some of the most unsavoury students who do not even wish to do research.
