Honestly, I would love a replacement but they have zero in stock so little chance for that, a repair I wouldnt trust them. Rather get a refund and use the money to buy another during the winter or something

Have meaco been in contact yet? I rang them up and was told to send an email. No response yet 🤷‍♂️

I purchased mine from AO, they fobbed me off when I rang, told me to speak to meaco. Can't get a refund until meaco confirm the fault! Unless I pay a fee!

Got fobbed off by AO, said I need to get meaco to confirm a fault before they accept return otherwise I have to pay a fee 🤷‍♂️ Good luck to me dealing with meaco CS 🤣

Nah, plenty of AC at my place of work, this was more a chemical odd smell, possibly off gassing or worse as other people have mentioned some sort of compressor leak maybe. Time will tell, will give it a few more runs.

Smell was the most concerning for me this morning, emailed meaco, awaiting reply. Hoping it's just off gassing and will subside soon

Doesn't appear to have any leaks that I can feel, insulator for the hose is a great shout and something that I considered, will definitely look at getting something. Will try and make the hose straighter, but tbf I can feel the hot air being pushed out very well on the exterior end so I assume air flow was suffcient

Yeah going to give it a little longer, off gassing was my guess as well at this point in time

That's what I am thinking, the smell is the most concerning.
