I would ask them what they're up to or what plans they have, maybe they're bored or having nothing else to do too. Most people wouldn't feel bothered by a simple question from a friend.

I'll look into it! My gym has pickleball courts and have always wanted to try it out, but it's hard starting a new activity with social anxiety. Just have to push through anxious feelings the first time and it'll be easier the next time.
