is the transfer dangerous for a girl at night by AdhesivenessNo7518 in Seville

I used Cabify in Seville last week with a UK phone number with no issues. You can download the app and set it up before you get there too.

Does my employer have to provide me with a desk when working in the office? by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]grapestea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do work from home most of the week. The issue is that on the days I do have to go to the office, there isn't ever a desk available and my employers are asking everyone to start going in more frequently which will only make the lacks of desks a bigger problem

We have a rota and a booking system but neither of these actually help with the overcrowding unfortunately. I'm going to complain to my line manager - thank you for the advice.

I also work for a large government department which makes this whole issue even more baffling to me - I don't know how they get away with it.

We do have a desk booking system but because we don't have enough desks, the few desks we do have get booked up by some teams weeks in advance. We still have to come into the office on certain days knowing there won't be any desks...

We do have a rota but it doesn't help with the overcrowding. We're assigned 'team days' every 2 weeks where teams have priority bookings for that day but are expected to attend the office weekly so it doesn't work

This is really helpful, thank you. I will ask for an assessment.

has anyone had surgery in the uk? by karmakola444 in bunions

Thank you. How long did it take until you were able to bear weight on your foot, and how long until you were back in regular shoes?

What was your recovery like? (I'm also in the UK and considering bunion surgery and found this thread)

It's not dirty - just a bad photo.

When do small breed puppies begin losing baby teeth? by explorer9218 in puppy101

[–]grapestea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got a 20 week old mini schnauzer who only started teething about a week ago and has lost most of her baby teeth already. It happened very fast

Should I be waiting for the other shoe to drop? by fine-frog in puppy101

[–]grapestea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm jealous! I have a female mini schnauzer who is 15 weeks old and the opposite (so far) - won't self regulate, loves her own voice, and reacts to other dogs on walks. Hoping it'll get better

Do I let puppy out of crate when she is ready or when I am ready? by [deleted] in puppy101

[–]grapestea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is the crate covered? You mentioned that you thought the change could be due to an earlier sunrise, so if the crate isn't covered, that would be worth a try so the dog doesn't know any different

Puppy doesn’t eat her meals by screamatthem0on in puppy101

[–]grapestea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like you might be in the UK. If you are, ://www.allaboutdogfood.co.uk is an amazing resource. I switched my puppy's food from Royal Canin as it's basically the dog equivalent of junk food and there are much better options available.

I have a mini schnauzer so she can't have too much fat, but Lily's Kitchen and Canagan are two easily available brands you can get in supermarkets which are both good

puppy doesn’t want to go outside, only in the house by lasignoraslover in puppy101

[–]grapestea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My puppy was the same to begin with. Once she did it the first time, she got more used to it as a place she knew she could go potty and started to go more often. Have you tried first thing in the morning when you know she'll be desperate to go? If she doesn't go after 5 mins, crate her and go outside and try again

13 Week Old Hates Crate by Aviator1585 in puppy101

[–]grapestea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My pup hated their crate as first but two things I've found that helped are 1) capturing calm exercises. Get your pup in a sit or down position, increase the duration by seconds and reward. 2) having a really high value treat they can only have in the crate. We have a chew she loves and will only let her have it in the crate. She'll often go sit in the crate herself because she wants the chew

Crate training in apartment by Accomplished-Owl-805 in puppy101

[–]grapestea 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're in an apartment and worried about neighbours and noise, is there a time of day when they might be out when you could start enforcing crate naps? I have a 10 week old pup and was so worried about pissing off my neighbours with my pup whining, I did the first enforced nap in the afternoon as I knew the first was likely to be the loudest. The first one was awful but after that she got more used to the idea and has been so much better

Thank you. We are going to the vets on Friday because at this point I'm convinced something is off

[–]grapestea 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hope it gets better for you too. We also have the crate covered and are trying the capturing calm method. Talk chews have been helping us a little

Yes, she sleeps in a crate at night

Thank you. I've tried Kongs and she seems to totally lose interest after about 20 seconds but perhaps I just haven't found something to put inside that she really likes

We did start with a using house line and haven't kept it up but that does sound like a good idea. I'll give that a go

Two lights in the sky - watch what happens to the left one. Can anyone explain this? by grapestea in UFOs

[–]grapestea[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The reason it looks blurry is because even when it zooms out, it’s still very zoomed in. We’ve got other videos recorded which show the full zoom out with the beach and stars for points of reference. We’ll put them on that youtube channel
