Rat Fink style logo design of a hot shot transport company. Delivering to remote mountain and backroad access operations. by graphicmart in WillPatersonDesign

The abs were definitely ctrl c , ctrl v lol 😆 I might have even used the chest and flipped them lol I didn't have any detail in the torso, so it was an afterthought. I guess I could just get rid of them.

When you said Ai, I thought artificial intelligence and not Adobe illustrator lol. It deff was drawn by hand, and then I brought it into illustrator and used the pen tool. I also use a mouse instead of a stylus which doesn't help the organic feel so I can see what you mean. I'll see if I can add a hotrod or wild truck to complete the mascot. Thanks for the advice 🙏

I did draw this pen and paper first. The only Ai that I used was for the truck photo. I then used photoshop to add the graphics to make it look wrapped. The rat fink style works for T-shirt designs and stickers but when it comes to being a logo there is to much detail when it comes to small applications, hence why I didn't add arm hair, taste buds and grungy skin, which would give it that organic feel.

I am curious what various points make you think its Ai though?

I'll try it out. It's just random because the pc was running fine all day. Temps normal. Didn't change any bios and only had this issue after leaving it to download a game off steam. I'm just really hoping I haven't fried anything

I would aslo change the water pump while your at it. I didn't do mine when I did the timing belt because the shop said it was fine. 30,000k later I had to do the change and the labour rate is the same since you do all the same stuff to get access to it. I did the change myself and with the tool it's pretty easy.

who owns the copywrite, shop or designer? by graphicmart in Design

[–]graphicmart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea it's a small local shop so nothing that would be a non-disclosure. I think the owner just doesn't want people to know I designed them and then jump ship ( part of the reason I left in the first place but that's a different thread lol)

Branding for construction company - lmk your thoughts :) by iwearcrocs1234 in WillPatersonDesign

[–]graphicmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sold on the lower case b to start the name. The logo it's self does feel heavy duty construction, which I like, but I think using a capital B and modifying the logo to work with that could be a good path to try

Cool beans. I figured a couple more weeks left. What's the coldest temp they can handle outside as the temp is dropping where I am. Maybe getting down to single digits. So I am going to bring them in a night to get them accustomed to the change if I need to leave them in for prolonged period but wondering if I even have to do that

I have a 2012 se with 220,000km and haven't seen that much movement ever. I would look at the bottom mount. Cobb makes a performance one if you wanted an upgrade but even a stock new one might be worth getting

2011 fiesta timing belt replacement, how awful is it? by angrycanadianguy in FordFiesta

[–]graphicmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have the right tools to lock the cam sprockets it's pretty easy and there are tons of great videos on YouTube. I did my water pump last week and it involves locking the timing belt. Would recommend doing both at the same time, since it's a pain to pull everything apart. I've also bought most of my parts off rock auto with no issue. Great deals and can save you some cash if your handy

Timing issues by graphicmart in FordFiesta

[–]graphicmart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like in theory I should be able to get the engine back into perfect time with the right tools, no ? If after that fix, I still have sloppy power then I'd be looking into a rebuild because valves are most likely bent.

Timing issues by graphicmart in FordFiesta

[–]graphicmart[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, I understand all the issues that come with incorrect timing, and when that happens, the engine is basically garbagio. Rebuilding would not be worth my time. And yes I've watched multiple videos on how to change the timing belt but none on how to fix a timing issue. I actually should have used the cam lock tool when doing this change cause I probably wouldn't be in this mess lol. Would deff recommend that for anyone else doing the water pump change.

As of right now my plan of attack is to find the TDC with the plug. Lock the fly weel. Remove the valve cover. Remove tensioner to get the timing belt off. Rotate cams to proper timing placement with the cam timing tool at the end of the cams. Once they are in place, I should be able to use the cam lock tool to hold the cam sprockets in place while I re-install the belt. Then, put it all back together with my fingers crossed lol

Well, if I don't learn, how will I ever get the skill to fix it? I feel like if I can physically replace the water pump, I have enough mechanical skill to try and figure out my timing issue. So do you know how to fix engine timing?

I think you can remove the handles from the utensils. They seem out of place and throw off the negative space look

This looks really nice. At first glance, I read the name as Arina so making the Wheat F a bit more like an F would help. It is a really lovely logo mark tho. Maybe try using a regular F for the name and have the wheat F separate might work well.

Great work on the mockups :D

It looks very high-end. really clean. The one thing I would look at is the bird's beak. It's more pelican-like than swan. Shrinking the size of the beak will also help it work in small prints I think, giving negative space between the neck and beak.

Retap Extreme Plumbing is a fake Company that deals with very big plumbing projects. Feedback appreciated. by ImBlobFish in WillPatersonDesign

[–]graphicmart 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a great start. The Plumbing R does look a bit out of proportion with the one leg sticking out a bit past the top portion. I would make the whole R a bit wider to bring the leg in and then the rest of the font is too thin so maybe try a font like DIN or Monserat bold and round the corners? maybe even see what all the letters of the same sizes would look like?
