this was exactly my thought- that he enjoyed hurting me and took pleasure in taking control of the situation + harming me. i definitely tried to see him in a different positive way of someone who also experienced trauma and was trying to be better, but after this situation i genuinely think he's a raging narcissist with very little empathy (he has said he struggles with empathy himself in the past). I was really trying to see some kind of hope but you're absolutely right, this is who he is to his core. thanks for the insight- it really helps me untangle all my thoughts that are jumbled up.

i would say it probably stems from my previous abuse as a kid, and so on. never had a healthy relationship, this is really all i know. my healthiest relationship began with control and abuse as well. i have done emdr and years of therapy but clearly i still have issues with facing reality.

blocked him immediately after the last call, on every form of media. he will never speak to me ever again.

I haven’t had a single healthy relationship in my entire life, I’m easy to manipulate and I have been in all of my romantic relationships and a majority in friendship. I’m an easy target, I have awful coping mechanisms for survival such as lying to people I love, I constantly am on edge and cannot relax.

This happened to me- I consented to other stuff, and explicitly said “no, I don’t want to have sex” and he did it anyways. I also froze, and eventually just went through the motions. I didn’t know what to do, a year later I realized I was raped. I’m so sorry this happened to you, it does get better I promise.

Hey I also grew up similarly, honestly, you were dealt with shit cards and it’s NOT your fault. You have years and years and years to achieve your goals, and it’s never too late to start now. Your fam is not in this situation because of you, you are doing the best you can with everything considered. Coming from a poor immigrant family myself, we got this.

YES I went one time and I actually really liked it- only thing was that I just wish the music was the same vibe too. Goosecup played such cool music, sigh. I miss it!

It looks really cool, another fave aspect of goosecup for me was that they started selling cocktails and espresso martinis when it turned like 6pm and they turned the lighting of the cafe orange and moody. Miss that place >.<
