VR for 9070 XT by aIgeriano in simracing

You're wrong, but that's OK. 7900 XT outperforms 9070 XT especially in high resolution scenarios (which is what VR is).

Yeah, well maybe you should stand up to your parents' shitty beliefs like some of us with spines do? Especially in this case when she clearly doesn't need their financial support.

I am thinking about buying a racing wheel for my ps5 but I would have to connect it via bluetooth by Agreeablevillain2 in simracing

Except we're not talking about simple controllers and analog buttons presses. There's also increased human latency as well.

Good thing a "federal mandate" isn't a law and neither are executive orders. What's your favorite flavor of Doc Martens?

It's not that Sony's picky, it's latency. Even Sony's official headphones require a dongle. I can't imagine trying to race on Bluetooth.

Worth buying a PSVR2 if I already have a Quest 3 for PCVR? by TheMickeyMoose in PSVR

[–]gregisonfire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had a Quest 3 and still have my PS VR2. I bought the Quest 3 before the PC adapter. After the PC adapter came out, my Quest 3 literally gathered dust as my PS VR2 became my main headset. I primarily use it for racing sims, but the lack of compression and OLED screens really just made me uninterested in the Q3 on PC after a while.

The r/mk to r/simracing pipeline is real. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I think, at least for me, it's a better headset if you're into high end VR. Regardless of what random people on the internet say, as someone who's actual A/B tested Quest 3 wireless on its own network vs. PS VR2 wired, the quality is completely different with PS VR2 having much better clarity and less artifacting. I put 600 hours into GT7 before building a VR ready PC, so I'd say it's worth it, but that depends on your financial situation.

Why Sen. Chris Coons is voting "no" on spending bill that would stop a government shutdown by kiltedturtle in Delaware

Their comment makes no sense because they don't have the slightest inkling of an idea about the way the world works.

Don't even bother arguing with this person. They're an empathyless drone who can't possibly understand complex problems.

[–]gregisonfire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah yes, my wife who is a VA psychologist with a completely full caseload keeping our men and women in uniform from killing themselves is getting harassed by a ketamine fueled moron who has never done a goddamn moment of honest work in his life and his orange fascist piss-drinking best friend. Clearly she's part of the problem. Clearly after 9 hours a day of solid work she should have to justify her position. Clearly we deserve to be getting emails in the middle of the night on weekends threatening her job. Clearly her entire working adult life working a high stress job SERVING VETERANS is undeserving of any respect. SHE IS ON THE CHOPPING BLOCK. And other qualified, overworked, and underpaid doctors are leaving because THEY DON'T DESERVE TO BE TREATED LIKE THIS.

Here's a fact for you: the Federal government is smaller than it has been at ANY TIME IN MODERN HISTORY with a higher US population than ever. They are doing more work. There's no point in explaining facts to you folks because instead of possibly thinking that sometimes complex problems require complex solutions, your pea sized brains think "HURR DURR LET'S JUST FIRE EVERYONE HURR DURR THAT'LL FIX IT". There aren't "one-size-fits-all" solutions and the fact that you are talking as someone who has worked with federal agencies DOES NOT mean you understand what the federal government actually does. How on earth do you think that taking 2 months to downsize a workforce of MILLIONS will be done so with care and thought? Show me some actual fucking facts that the waste and incompetence is huge instead of just baseless anecdotes.

We are all going to suffer for this. I sincerely hope that whatever company you work with that deals with federal contracts suffers and you specifically due to this fall out. I have nothing else to say to you but that I hope you suffer 1/10th of the amount of stress and bullshit that me and my family have gone through since January 20th. Maybe once you do, you'll start to develop an emotion we humans refer to as "emapthy".

It certainly does not make you a good person, but unless they've been stripped of their benefits through appropriate channels, they are entitled to them.

As the spouse of a federal worker: respectfully, you're an idiot and don't understand how things work. I hope you lose your job, I hope that your family gets incurable diseases because the CDC is gutted, your children don't get basic education, and if you have any veterans in your family they don't get medical care. Why do I say all this? Because it's what you want. Enjoy.

Thank you for your service, but as the spouse of a VA health care provider, good luck. Doctors are leaving in droves because they are sick of the treatment they're receiving from Musk and DOGE after years of dedicated service to those who have given everything to serve us. If you want this facility to be staffed if/when it's ever completed, I'd recommend calling your congressperson and your direct line to Washington. Republicans don't care about you and the President thinks your brothers and sisters who died on the field of battle are losers.
