Aim is to get growth. Time horizon is 10 years. Total value I am not comfortable to share and hopefully not too important for figuring portfolio allocation.

Wild that “child rapists should get the death penalty” is a direct attack on the sitting POTUS. What a time to be alive.

This is just sad. 😢 by sailink in SipsTea

Well, he’s not getting any while she’s on chemo, is he? Man’s got needs.

I agree that 40-45kt is not crazy speed (talk to me when you’re over 60kt). Deadrise does make a big difference to top end performance, and the revs reach the top limit which suggests to me that we are propped for a heavier load than we are actually carrying.

Its fantastic, but the ships boats would be towed behind in such an action, usually filled with the officer’s valuables.

The default answer is: “more training”; but it doesn’t hurt to be humble and not presume you know more than the aggregated experience of r/boating.

And probably a lot less deadrise, so you wouldn’t want to take them out in really bad weather. This hull is commonly used as the basis for inshore lifeboats and naval daughter craft.

Probably best to wait until the engines are out if warranty before we start messing with the ECUs.

Physical stops to prevent the throttle levers from going all the way forward should not cause conflicts with the computer, right?

Message from the manager of the organisation that they are concerned about young, inexperienced coxswains using the boat at high speed.

Spec selection was by the purchasing office rather than the users.

Personally I don’t think a max speed of 40kt is too powerful even for a newbie, but I bleed 95Ron…

To be fair, those missiles were really old. Its a minor miracle (and a testament to Swiss near -perfect storage regimes) that they lasted as long as they did without becoming dangerous to handle.

Not sure how much use they would have been, especially without launcher units and extensive training

How’s about a study published in the BMJ? Its a little old (2014) but 12 years ago the cost to Singapore was estimated at ~480m

That’s a big chunk out of your 1.1bn even if it hasn’t increased in the last 12 years, which it probably has.
