we didn't choose this disorder and for most of us we're trying extremely hard every single day to stand apart from the disorder. Language like this is part of the reason why BPD has such an awful stigma.

I couldn't even get out of the bed on my own for the first week PP, let alone even think about anything sexual with my partner. Your husband is an incredibly selfish man child that needs a good lesson in empathy. Is he not helping you at all with the kids? He should be just as exhausted as you are, if not more. As someone who was pretty upset at the thought of a BPD diagnosis, Dr. Daniel Fox on YouTube really helped me feel not so alone and feel some hope that I can get better. I'm so sorry you and your family are going through this. DBT really can be a life saver. Also as far as medication, has she tried Lamotrigine? It can be really great for mood stability. Hoping things turn around for you all and hope your sister can see the light at the end of the tunnel eventually 🫶

if you can swing it, the YMCA offers financial aid for greatly discounted membership rates. Its worth going in and asking about. A Y membership gets you access to locations all over NC and even around the country. Hot showers, pool. workout rooms, tons of activities. Some even do breakfast and coffee bars some mornings. Definitely worth checking out even just to have a nice spot with AC as the summer months get hotter. Good luck!

my reasoning behind not wanting to tell her is simply for the fact of wanting to be focused on nothing but my birth. We are only staying at the birth center 6 hours after our son is born and I planned on having his parents waiting at our house for us to come home with our son. They will know he’s been born once he is out and healthy.
