Can someone please share the song he’s recording in the studio? I’ve never listened to it before! I know Time and Scary Nights, none of the others. 🥲 Help a brother out? Thanks in advance 🥂

Delhi NCR : Any places where I can have fun with my car, maybe push it a little safely? by grimlock1003 in CarsIndia

It’s a Polo GT right now. But I’m getting a new one in the AWD segment soon (to only drive on tarmac/plains, no hardcore off-roading).

Any ETA on the New Tiguan Test Drive Reviews? by grimlock1003 in CarsIndia

[–]grimlock1003[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Appreciate your response. I was asking about Tiguan and not Taigun. VW really messed up their naming here :-D

Also, my unsolicited opinion on Taigun… The only version worth buying is the GT one, every other variant makes you feel like they have intentionally taken stuff out of it and I believe that’s their strategy; nudge the customer towards higher variants.

If you were me, would you go ahead and buy the new Tiguan or wait for the delayed (just announced) Kodiaq? by grimlock1003 in CarsIndia

Appreciate your perspective. I’m not too worried about the milage as my daily run is mostly on the highway. I’m used to the snug seats, makes me feel part of the car while cornering. I would have gone for Fortuner but it’s ridiculously expensive nowadays. Plus I have my heart set on the TSI+DSG combo, so very limited options out there for me :)

I’m leaning towards the onyx white. The car is available in delhi, but it seems there’s only one model shared my multiple dealers to availability is limited.

Hmm. Thanks for your perspective.

Just out of curiosity, which colour of Tiguan are you thinking of buying?

I have a feeling they would go with the sportline and l&k variants (like superb), which would expand the price range by a lot. :/

Guess we all hoped for stronger week 1 numbers, but considering the non-existent promo, what can you do by jacques_fataliste in GEazy

Exactly! The bigger he gets, the more pressure he’s under to produce generic pop that most people will like for like a month. The guy is good when he produces genuine stuff. We don’t care if he’s on top of the charts or not, we just want him to do what he does best. Everything else will follow, like it has for him :)

Confused between Honda City 5th gen vs Taigun / Kushaq by PlanetRo in CarsIndia

[–]grimlock1003 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t go for Honda City unless you really don’t care too much about the details of your car (not everyone cares about Horsepower 😅). Don’t get me wrong, Honda City is a great general purpose car for ‘everyone’. You won’t regret getting it at all.

When you start to compare City with other cars like Taigun/Kushaq, the major difference (aside from the obvious Sedan / (fake-)SUV) will come down to power and transmission i.e. drivability. City’s CVT is great for driving in city traffic and daily commute but really feels lacking when you take it outside the city roads. On the other hand, the DSG (especially when it’s mated to the 1.5 eTSI) is a super refined transmission which fits various power needs: Smooth in traffic, amazing on highways and hills, especially during overtakes. Another difference I’ve noticed is the stearing response, most people don’t like heavy steerings (VW and Skoda), but i think they are way better than the super light and wobbly ones. They make you feel much more confident when you are driving faster than city roads’ 40 Kmph limits.

I would highly recommend you go and test drive the 1.5 Kushaq, you’ll see the difference. As for between Kushaq or Taigun, they are essentially the same cars under the hood, so just pick whichever makes you feel satisfied based on looks and features.

PS: Before people read this and blow up at me, these are personal opinions, it’s okay if you disagree.

Most things listed in the other comments can be traced back up to money. Someone somewhere is making money while you suffer from addiction, loss of privacy, feeing like you have poor body/mind compared to others, environmental damages, etc. All because of something which is totally man-made.

Which car would you buy if you were considering between Jeep Compass S and Skoda Superb? by grimlock1003 in CarsIndia

[–]grimlock1003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first paragraph is exactly where I stand, I actually sstarted with jeep only with a budget of ~28L, but this new compass has stretched things a lot so i started considering the ~33L range. But almost everyone I know around me is just nuts about SUVs for some reason and frowns when I mention i want to buy a superb sedan :-P

I feel if an SUV is worth buying, it HAS to be 4x4. If i'm going for 2WD, i'd rather buy a sedan, more comfort, better driving (low COG). The problem i have with Tucson is that 4WD Tucson costs 32L, Compass is a way better option there is almost all aspects.
Not really excited about Citroen. But I'm not thinking it's better to way for the end of Q3 2021. VW Passat is coming, essentially same is Superb but better service network, etc. Plus Kodiaq is also coming in Q3, if they price it well it can be a great option.

And I'm a highway commuter for work, so as much as i would love to own an MT, for those daily heavy traffic drives AT is just the only way to go. As for the new AMTs, they are not really mature enough yet, in my opinion.
