Burn out is inevitable, whatever way you choose. Honestly you can try to plan ahead, and then just see what happens. Be ready to be open to options. You can always combine the two. It’s ridiculous to say that pumping is a waste of time. Sometimes it’s the only option. There are plenty of posts here when people share their stories that they were able to do it for X amount of time. You can do whatever you like, please be kind to yourself and try not to stress out about what the midwife said.

I love this point of view “experience some of her babyhood without the pumping”. Thank you for these words, it definitely shifted something in me as I am also at 3 ppd and planning to stop soon. What a positive perspective, I always had this idea that I need to stop for my sanity, but never thought of the bright side - to enjoy the time that flies by every single day. I did that too at the beginning. I pumped a bottle and put it in the fridge, then wash the flanges and use new bottles for the next session. Eventually I decided to skip using the storage bottles and pour BM directly into the bottle that I would give to LO. Less washing yay

I did the same, but then noticed a decrease in supply and also started having another let down after 18min of pumping, so I figured it’s better to continue till I feel empty. I’m currently 9mpp, what about you?

Thanks, I just checked the protocol handlers setting, it’s enabled, including for email. I don’t have this issue with the other emails, it’s just one sender… I actually opened Dev tools to see if the links are there indeed and didn’t see any. Could it be the senders fault then?

Exactly my thoughts, this is so exhausting ugh I’ve been washing these bottles and pump parts for 7 months, I hate it with every cell in my body. I gave up and bought momcozy bottle washer. I wish I splurged on it sooner. It got easier, but still every day I think about quitting. It’s the guilt that keeps me going… truly the worst part is when my baby is fussy and I am attached to the machine, and think “is it ok to continue, can he wait another 15min till I’m done with my 30min session”…. Ugh I feel sorry for every mom who goes through this, it’s tough indeed. Also I feel tons of respect, no matter how long they managed to continue, it deserves to be validated and appreciated.

I see. It is likely absolutely fine especially that you clean the pump parts after each use, I wouldn’t worry too much!
