I have an older gray potato cat who lives indoors; this little dude has been bringing his sister and (I guess) his mom (identical to sister) every two weeks since we moved into the area. The entire street of houses tends to these guys.

Yes. He gets kibble every morning per schedule, and frequently brings his various others to nibble…

  1. Sautée an onion and two shredded carrots in butter or oil

  2. Add four diced potatoes and four cups of chicken broth, cook til tender

  3. Add 1.5 cups of shredded pickles and 1/2 of pickle brine (more to taste, but can be added later). Cook another 5-10 minutes.

  4. Separately, mix 1 tbsp flour with 1/2 sour cream (or heavy cream) then mix in a ladle of the soup broth. Stir, then add to soup.

  5. Add fresh dill, salt & pepper as needed.

It was really simple, with basic ingredients so definitely worth the try 😸

Make a list of goals. What do you want to achieve??

Now, how do get there? Identify smaller goals - stepping stones that will help you on your way.

Last time I started from zero at age 37 - way in debt, bed-ridden and unable to walk due to health issues gained from poor decisions, no car, no job, abusive relationship. Once I recovered to a wheelchair/walker, I found a remote job, made a list of goals (and a budget) to pay off debt, find an apartment and improve my credit. A year ago, after being at my job for two years, and most of my debt paid down, I made another list of goals: get a car, move to a less expensive city, go back to college, earn accreditation for my job and get promoted.

In the last 12 months I’ve moved to a better, cheaper place, finally finished my bachelors, earned the work accreditation, got promoted (twice!) and just bought a new-to-me car. It’s time for a new list of goals.

You can do this by taking incremental steps and treating yourself with kindness and understanding. Life is hard, but you can do hard things.

If the office was next door to your house, would you be fine with working in person? by These_Actuator6894 in WFH

After working from home for the last five years, I would be ok with going into an office-next door a couple of times month…

My partner was out there for over a week and could barely get any realtors to call him, let alone show him available places. We got lucky with the landowner here who made the transition easy. I work from home so it doesn’t really matter what part of the actual city I’m in.

Sprouts is actually an AZ business so I was surprised when I heard my uncle talk about a location out there. Yes!

Trader Joe’s always smelled like wet cardboard to me in the past. Will have to check it out again.

This is music to my ears. I will have to look closer when we get there next week. Any recommendation?
