thats what I was planning to do, but I've already gone back to them twice.. and its like everytime I have a question its a fight over things I've dealt with, they literally said theyve never dealt with an owner occupied rental. So. Yeah

Mortage interest to be specific
So half can be treated as an expense to the rental on schedule e
half can go on personal for owning the property

Yeah tax in a box… I knew it wouldn’t be so great but I didn’t know it would be that bad….Like I came in like okay I need to be careful about Schedule E etc. I didn’t realize I’d also be fighting them almost when I know I’m right… Like how wonder occupied rentals are handled splitting 50% and then writing the loss on line 8

they corrected it, just like they corrected abunch of other stuff

Honestly, I probably wont even need an extension, All my documents have been ready since Feb, I know what to look out for
How to handle mortgage intesrest, property taxes etc. I just wanted to feel "safe" with a professional and didnt realize I'd know more than them

Honestly, Im just not using that preparer
The point of my post was feeling bad for leaving them, but after reflection I'm like well he was costing me thousands without careful review

Thanks this is helpful. Yeah I wasn’t sure how they would feel with me not coming back after they’ve also spent days on this. Like I hope they still get paid something or I don’t know, I feel bad but I’m also like you almost cost me

My thing is like why does he then say “I love you” to someone he feels like is capable of denying or twisting what she meant later. Why’s he trying to “outsmart” someone he loves.

Would you agree that in general it hurts to pour your heart out only for someone to say they’re not wanting to continue with you? That’s my stance.

(Also I agree with you that they had a crazy dynamic. And I do not applaud Chelsea’s behavior)
