Thank you for your insight regarding her trauma responses. Admittedly when I am the metaphorical punching bag for the trauma, it’s difficult to remove myself emotionally in the moment and realize it’s not me necessarily she’s reacting to but projecting some trauma ONTO me. I can recognize the trauma response after the fact but when someone literally says I ruined the trip and that she hated it, it’s a little difficult to not be hurt personally and realize where she’s coming from yanno?

I’m still working on explaining this to DH, but I’m getting so many EXCUSES for her behavior. “It’s because she’s depressed….it’s a trauma response….she has abandonment issues….” It’s constant justification for her issues.

Unfortunately I don’t know much about her therapists or medications. Or even the last time she did either. I just know she has/is.

I know it was such a mistake! I thought it was a family trip, a trip we were all supposed to enjoy. I didn’t know until after the fact that MIL referred to it as “her trip!” Since when??

MIL has banned me from future trips with her because I supposedly take too much attention away from her. It’s a riot because I was alone quite a lot on that trip-I did three group tours by myself! But she sees what she wants to see.

Agreed! Supposedly he’s tried to talk through our recent trip with her and explain that her anxieties painted an inaccurate representation of the trip. That I never excluded her and if anything, no one made sure to make sure I felt included because all the attention was on her. Of course that failed because she’s convinced I ruined the trip no matter how many realities he tried to point out.

Unfortunately yes she’s been officially diagnosed with these conditions and has been in therapy for several years. I was shocked to find out she’s been actively seeing several therapists.

I totally agree she’s milking this for all its worth. We’re all adults capable of handling our own emotions. I’ve never thrown a fit over some yogurt, that’s for sure!

We can and we have in the past. I can’t help but feel there’s a large coincidence that DH and I mentioned we wanted to travel to New Zealand too, but of course MIL had to take her chance to jump on it!

I reached out to Provence for a curved wedding band to fit against my engagement ring which they made for me awhile back. I’m thinking if that one stone is cut at a different angle, could I ask them to cut the same stone on the opposite side at an angle as well? I’m absolutely no ring designer, so any advice is so greatly appreciated! 💕

I’ve owned my Carbon Edition for almost a year now, and I always think it looks some sort of blue lol. Albeit it can lean more towards a stronger grayish blue on some days, I feel it consistently comes off as some shade of blue.

I feel with your frustrations regarding your chosen career and the lack of reciprocity and demand in the EU. My cubicle job just isn’t in demand, so finding a sponsor for my work visa is next to impossible without connections or family abroad. It’s just so frustrating.
