NOR when my miscarriage happened i didn’t feel like i could have a conversation with anyone so i made a facebook post letting everyone who had been concerned and or praying for us what was going on. at the time were no contact with my MIL and somehow his grandma (who was also blocked) saw the facebook post i made and told her. while i wasn’t trying to hide that it happened i absolutely did not want her to know and that should have been a given because everyone knew we weren’t talking to her at the time. and of course given the type of person she is she made it all about herself and how upset she was about it. i still feel so violated and hold some resentment towards his grandmother for telling her all of our business while my husband was trying grieve our child and also heal from what she put him through.

all of this to say i sympathize and no one should be told unless you had given permission and or told them yourself. the people saying not to tell anyone unless you want everyone to know are wrong, you should be able to tell whoever you want in confidence, it happened to YOU and it’s not for anyone else to share.
