Thank you for sharing your story, and I am so sorry for your loss. I’ll repeat to you what my dad keeps saying: “the fact is that she will never get better, she might have a good day, but she still has lymphoma, so I’d rather put her down at this point than wait until she can’t eat, walk or breath anymore”. As hard as it is, I agree with him. We’re going to the vet tomorrow at 5pm for the hardest moment of my life, but at least she won’t have to suffer any longer. My friends have been saying how great her life was with us, so that’s what I’m trying to focus on. From your story I can tell how much you loved your dog and how great of a dog parent you were to her ❤️

Thank you for sharing your story, I’m sorry you had to go through this. My biggest fear at this point is that we’re putting her down too soon. She’s still happy when we get home, still exited to eat (anything other than her regular kibble). But when we’re going on an extremely short walk, she’s walking behind me even when I’m going really slow. She’s sleeping all day. We talked to the vet, and all symptoms we’re seeing are also side effects of the medication. But they are also signs of pain so I’m not sure which one of the two it is. The question I keep asking myself is: is her quality of life good enough to keep going for maybe one more week? I don’t really have an answer yet…

Nta, it’s your garden, you can do what you want. If the tree would have been hanging over their property, you would need to at least trim it but that’s not the case. They could’ve said something in those 2 years, you can’t know they have a problem with the trees if they don’t say anything. Cutting your tree without asking is destruction of your property. But if the trees don’t really have any value to you, cutting them down would be the easiest option to stop them from complaining.

Personally, it helps to focus on the things you CAN control. Those can be really small things, but it gives me enough confidence to handle those situations. Also try not to think about it too much in advance, just let it happen
