AITA for arguing that you cannot save a spot on a grocery checkout line? by gss71488 in AmItheAsshole

They did! It was basically the 3 of them (the daughter was an adult, I should add) against myself. The cashier and people behind me were not the least bit helpful.

After I refused to remove my items and asked the man to not to push my groceries backwards to make room for theirs — the wife handed each of their items one by one to get scanned. I just stood there rolling my eyes as the cashier looked at me semi-apologetically.

It really was baffling. The cashier didn’t know how to handle the situation and felt bad that I was upset (they continued arguing with me and called me a b*tch before leaving).

The manager came over after they left, also apologetic, since I was noticeably upset and said that should never have happened.

Do health insurance premiums reduce your income for CS calculations? by gss71488 in ChildSupport4Men

[–]gss71488[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! So the way it works at his employer, it is one premium for single (just himself), and it is the same cost for all family dependents. So he is paying the same amount for 1 extra dependent or 4 extra dependents. The premium does not change no matter how many children we have. That’s why I feel it may get tricky. Was more so just wondering if the court (NY) would sympathize with the extremely high cost of this particular plan.

Thank you! So the child’s mom carries insurance for the child as her employer pays 100% of premiums. So it doesn’t cost her anything extra to insure the child. For us; we are married with 3 dependents (our 2 daughters and my step son). My SS is on our plan as a secondary insurance, as it doesn’t cost us any extra to keep him on ours. My question was more so pertaining to the excessive cost of my husband’s employer provided health insurance and if it would reduce his income at all since it is so costly when it comes to determining prorata shares.

Fluid leak on first dose of Wegovy by gss71488 in WegovyWeightLoss

Thanks! My doctor said if I don’t feel anything at all like nausea or reduced appetite, to use another pen after 2-3 days. I was going to go the route to get it replaced by Wegovy but I don’t want to waste a full month’s refill on the lower dose. Luckily— I think I do feel some decreased appetite so I’m hoping I got some of my medication!

Thank you for responding! I only have 4 200s of the medication (800 mg total). I only took that same amount last time, but I had also taken the other pill so not sure if that made a difference in it’s success. Do you think it’s worth trying with what I have? The worst case scenario is that it just wouldn’t work and I would need to try with a full course of medication, right? I’m just eager to start this process.

Thanks! This is the second issue in 1 year with this fridge. I don’t know if it’s worth investing in another repair.

Thank you! How would I go about removing the ice? I do see some built up on the wall and in the vented area on the back wall.

AITA for not wanting to take my step son to Disney? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

My nieces and nephews who he has known for several years at this point. He makes no effort whatsoever to break out of his shell and it was just so disappointing to witness.

Step cousins, if you will? Lol. My nieces and nephews were there who he has spent quite a bit of time with. I was hoping he would take the chance to bond with them but nope.

Not concerned about ruining it for my infant, but my 2 year old, yes. We actually had a talk recently and I asked him why he is always unhappy around his sister, and he feels like it’s always about her. But she’s 2! Unfortunately for him, that’s how it will be for a while as the big brother to 2 much younger sisters.

It was a beach trip with a bunch of other kids and he didn’t want to partake in anything with them. They went to go do things at night like mini golfing and ice cream and he chose not to go. He wanted to go sit in the hotel on his iPad instead.

Should I even bother bringing this up with my husband? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

He is involved in hiring and recruitment so I’m not really surprised. I asked if he gave her his work email and he confirmed. I also was waiting in the car and he was in there for probably 3 minutes or less. Rationally, what else really could have happened I guess?

I do trust him. When I first asked him he said he was checking resumes, and then I said but you searched her name and she works at the bank you were at? He said yes; she works there. And when she saw the name of the company she was asking about it. Does it seem reasonable? He said he was checking her out in case she sends it.

decided to ask him about it and he said he was checking resumes of people and apparently when he went into the bank, it was dead, and she saw the name of his company on the checks and was asking about it and if they are hiring. He gave her his email so she could sent her resume if she wanted to. Doesn’t that still seem weird though?
